Good morning! It is a new month and a new thread! I hope everyone had an enjoyable Fourth of July, celebrating the founding of these United States, a glorious experiment in world government.
The National March by Sousa, conducted by Bernstein
May God bless America again.
I can’t believe it........Anyone know what happened? He sounded okay the other day.
Bless your heart, Toby.......You were very dear to us.
Love and prayers for the family. Know he is with the Lord!
Oh Dear. Rest in Peace, FRiend.
I see the money markets opened tonight with the dollar slightly stronger.
Caligula is at -21 on the Ras scale. He is becoming so unpopular (I wish) that even the Kenyans are claiming he was born in the U.S.
Boehner has excluded Caligula from budget negotiations.
“He is becoming so unpopular (I wish) that even the Kenyans are claiming he was born in the U.S.”
Rephrased a little. And perfectly valid.
He is becoming so unpopular that even the Kenyans may soon claim he was born in the U.S.
How does he get away with that after Caligula DEMANDED the leaders come to the White House at 11 am yesterday morning, which of course, they obeyed thier master and showed up? Sounds like to me Caligula is the King and Boehnor dare not leave Caligula out of the 'negotiations'.
Well, Boehner has not been meeting w/Caligula today and in fact told Caligula that the way Boehner has read the Constitution, the House votes on the bills and Caligula can choose whether or not to sign them.
This is a big change from yesterday. Did you talk to Boehner?
What is going on with Boehner? Is he getting a spine of tool steel or am I just in wishful thinking? I never would have thought Boehner would told the wanna-be Dictator to stuff it.
IMO, this is all talk and promises. I am waiting until the bill is passed.
This scares the pee-waddin’ outa me. Today, Boehner is telling the ARROGANT wanna-be Dictator TO pound sand, and tomorrow, Boehner will be bowing at Caligula’s alter.
Well, as usual we are totally helpless and they will do whatever they want and we will have to live with it.
I’m HORRIBLY worried that caligula is going to get what he wants and it will HARM America vastly.
Back in the 70s I paid a lot of attention to eschatology. Most of those purporting different hypotheses felt the US would be somehow diminished as a world power. I have been wondering if those thinkers were more correct than I thought at the time.
As I have said, putting it mildly, it is borderline treason.

We have a neighbor get to gether Friday night, I am going to give all the men a knife and Tracy is going to give something, forgot what it is.
Christmas morning I will have under the tree a wrapped orange and a wrapped apple. When Treva was young this is all her parents had to give her. They were very poor but the salt of the earth.
When Treva and I got married in the Church all the ladies were crying, I said to her, that sure was sweet, all the ladies crying and she commented they were not crying about that, they were crying because I was marrying you. Slap, right in the head. I sure hope she was kidding.
LOL That's our Toby.
he was a very special person & appreciated and loved by all.
Wondering how the services went. Now and then I regret not being filthy rich to be able to hop a plane & do things like... go to the funeral of a friend
A gentle passing in his sleep his daughter wrote... glad to hear that. Like my mom
Those of you on Facebook can go to daughter Tracy’s page & see photos of Treva.. she was beautiful!
Hello to all.. hope life is sweet & you appreciate those who pass through your life, if even briefly or cyber wise..
busy here. Lots of travel. Challenges being met fortunately so far. God is Good & I thank him for the graces at this time
Yes, Dolly. I saw the photos of Treva. Lovely.
Still sad about Toby, was so glad to read about gentle passing in his sleep. Well we made our difficult decision to go ahead and sell our calves early. They can’t do any more here with us, and we must now turn our attention to cows. All cows 10 years or older will be the first to be cut just not fair to them to keep in these conditions. I did not sleep last night and my heart is breaking, but I still serve an awesome God, and I know he watches over me!! We will survive, but my heart just breaks. Denco
My prayer are with you.
I am so sorry to hear about your hard times. I think about you often. Know you’re in my prayers.
Sorry shocked and sorry to hear about Toby; may he rest in peace.
Dad is better. He hates taking medicine, but hopefully I've convinced him it's for the best. He said the other day he decided to live to see 90. My answer? That's only 3 years away! Sheesh!
God bless you all!
Good Wednesday morning.
guess what? I'm a little out of it myself at first. I get up at 7:00 am every morning! LOL!!
Not much posting here but I still check in every day. Husband and I seem to not be able to get to sleep at night, then sleep poorly, but when it is time to get up in the morning find that we would be able to sleep hard and well.
Weird. Just thought I would say Hello. I have #3 grandson (2 yrs. old) over to visit for a couple hours so fun morning. Went to birthday party for my youngest son a few days ago. Felt a ‘kick in the stomach” when I actually let myself realize he was turning 30. How did that happen?!?
So sorry re: the selling cattle decisions you have been forced to make. Brother/sister-in-law were injured in a car accident 7 months ago and are still in care centers. They had 20 or so cows they just sold now. Brother was most sad about having to sell one cow in particular-just a favorite of his. Anyway sure hope the situation improves soon for you. Sending hopeful thoughts from Washington state to you.
I used to say to my mother “ I’m turning 39! How did I get so old?” never thinking how she might feel! Dad says
i’m getting old now that I’m in my early 60’s. He has some nerve, he’s going on 87! LOL!! I sitll feel 39, BTW.
Good Tuesday morning!
It’s cooler here in Northern Illinois. Woohoo! We’ve had a lot of rain, too. Want to share that Denco, and anyone else who needs it.
HOB: I remember when I turned 50 and asking my Dad how that made him feel. He said, “I feel great!”
illstillbe and oldngray?
Good morning all....life is being lived.....ups and downs....
...Bless his heart, Toby went peacefully....God love him.
I have heard from neither of them. I’ve tried contacting them at the last known addresses. They have appeared to have fallen off the radar. DJ, too, is missing.
..but they’re post still listed as members at FR.
Yes. Apparently they haven’t resigned, just stopped posting. I’m hoping they’ll post again.
With the riots and market crashes, there's a lot on my mind. I was thinking back to Hitler's fake riots and governments that lie, and Marxists, and ........ Oh well....
Hey-—isn't it great we have a Marxist in there to save the day when capitalism fails ??
Oh wait.....it's the thievery of the left that ran up these debts, trying to destroy capitalism, isn't it?
Awww, sheesh! I had begun to think a little more joyfully. Gosh! My advice on the stock market: invest in Xanax!
I’m beginning to see conspiracies of the left behind every corner. I’m thinking that Tina Brown’s friends Jon Stewart, NOW, et all may be saying.....”...and after you look at the cover and “Rage” title, pick it up and read it so you know why they said that.”
But that’s just me, you know.
That’s good to think out of the box!
quick hello & hugs to all. Posted an update on my Wisconsin trip to see Mozie perform last Sunday
I haven’t been able to get into WP for months
well, duh, would be nice to tell you where it was posted..
on Just Amy’s. Uploading pix now. Will post one on Porch & also on FB of Mozie & DollyCali. Cyber friends or 8 years & face to face for first time!
I think my Dad is just going thru “age shock”. He hardly thinks of himself as 86. He couldn’t believe his “baby sister” turns 69 this year. So I went on to list the ages of all my cousins in their 60’s, 50’s, and 40’s. He was just amazed!
Bless his heart! You’re fortunate to have him, HOB.
Checking in here, hope all are well. Thanks to all who drop in to post, it helps keep us all connected better.
Even though the busy-ness of our lives keeps us running in other directions, it’s nice to have this place of support and comraderie, especially in the face of the dire and dismal situation in our nation. Hopefully the voters will wake up next year.
Prayers for all who need them.
I haven't been on the Net for a while. Motherboard, and harddrive got fried. Sheesh.
Did you know the link for ATRW on the home page returns "nothing?" Odd that. Maybe it times out, or I'm just missing somethin'.
If you are in FL, you know what the weather is. If not, HHH.
Glad you had a nice B’day, Mike.
We sold our house in FL. Unfortunately, it was a must.
So, we’re now enjoying some pretty nice weather in Northern IL.
When will you head South, prairie?
Hope things are going well with everyone.
Prayers for all my friends in Irene’s path.
Everyone keeps saying we're not in Irene's path although we're on the southeast coast.....
.. kehoe is over on the other side of the peninsula, so he should be fine.
Still it's unnerving to have a Cat 3 or 4 pass parallel to our coastline.....we should expect some high winds, perhaps.
kehoe is over on the other side of the peninsula, so he should be fine.
Yep. Some rain and wind. Which we needed. Fire hazard has been high...
Our hurricane season is just starting. Good time to prepare...
Is Piper here yet?
