America The Right Way - Staying Vigilant
All of us and a variety of sources | May 2, 2011 | Freepers of good heart everywhere

"We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!" President Bush

The big news of the day is the death and burial at sea of Osama bin Laden. Thank you, President Bush and the US military (including my son and future son-in-law) who made this day happen. Other news is the nuptials of William and Catherine in Great Britain. May God bless their union and draw them close to Him in Jesus Christ. Alabama (my state) and other southeast states continue the task of digging out and rebuilding. A massive effort is underway with able bodies and supplies needed.

I recall posting to you when your mom died Jay. Was thinking that there are four of us (maybe more. Poor recall) that lost our moms this year. You. Jim. Nita. And me. And we all shared stories on numerous occasions of their life. A sad first Mothers Day W/o them

The moslem world is already inflamed and angry.

There is no possible way to make them any angrier. He is just using that for an excuse. Anything he can use to deflect and diffuse.

K. It's over. If I don't get busted by the city before the 15th, Miss Piggy gets the knife, regardless of weight. It wouldn't be so much trouble except for the bootleg thing. Keeping a growing (very loud) pig hidden is wearing me down.

I've been moving her around the yard in her movable 'compost pile' so that the stink doesn't get overwhelming, and she really does a great job at killing grubs and tearing up the ground.

Down side is feeding her. I've been grinding corn (by hand) and making hot-water corn cakes, and she gets table scraps.

I did wimp out a couple of times and tried to feed her whole corn, but she didn't really seem to eat much of it.

But I do have a spot in the yard with 4" corn plants. They're growing like crazy.

For some reason, interesting stuff happens near where I am. Some of it is my fault. Some of it is not.

A month ago, I was helping animal control and a cop load some loose dogs, while standing 70' away from Miss Piggy. I'm the one that called animal control.

I've been taken brazen lessons from the leftists. I just use my brazen flouting of the rules for good.

I can’t remember what state you are in,, but it is against the law to feed table scraps to livestock in Iowa. The law may be different if your critter is for your own consumption. Just not sure about that.

“Miss Piggy” must still be small if you are successfully hiding her. 8^) Please keep me posted... I am looking forward to hearing how you manage to keep her hidden in a couple of months.

9 days is max, and yes, I'm breaking that law as well. Feeding her scraps, that is..

Hiding a 50 lb pig is enough. 2 more months would make me crazy(er).

We're done. Finished. Finito. Esto es finale.

I'd feel worse for the pig, but she's just so damn annoying.

And Texas is the answer to your question.

Anybody as outrageous as me HAS to come from Texas.

Jim, you are absolutely right.. that time has flown. I was so sure it was this year.

My past year was really REALLY consumed in my mom’s care and I guess most things were on the back burner during that time.

My mom remained at home, as was her FIRM desire & never got sick as such.. just gently faded away, keeping her mind, eating & drinking to the end. She knew & I knew her time was limited. She saw her “transition team”(as I call them) often & chatted with them & also with “her angel” as she called her. It was a blessing to be part of that but sad that morning when I came to her bed & instead of a nice smile & bright eyes, was greeted with a cold shell of mom.

With mother’s day tomorrow we all think of the memories of our moms.. and maybe OTHERS who did some mom’ role along the way. Mine was my Christian mom Irene.. Those of us who are mothers reflect on how our children have influenced us and our lives

Well, I know you have had a lot of changes this past year & I hope all is going well for you.

Good Morning Dolly.

You speak great truths, Dolly.

My mom was in the hospital less than a week when she died. My sister said the hardest thing she had to do was to take mom into the hospital, knowing that she would probably not come out. Mom suspected that as well, and cried softly on her way to the hospital. (I choke up just thinking about it....)

The legacy our mothers left behind will continue to give us strength and courage as we face the world. They left this place so much better for the rest of us. You can't measure that.

I remember sometime after 9/11, he was seen leaving a Pakistan hospital with a “portable” dialysis machine. I’ve wondered who long he would last fleeing from one cave to the next with that machine. I wonder if Team 6 found the machine in the “mansion”?

Now I'm curious, why can you not feed pigs table scraps?
