My Daughter and S.I.L. named my first Grandson Thorne. It sounds like she got it out of one of those romance novels.

At least his initials are TNT.

My son wants to name his baby Santar, the Magnificent. He did marry a sensible woman, however.

The problem being that neither of those names are masculine.

I agree, but what do I know?
I named my daughter Jensen, and it never occurred to me that anyone would think that it was a boys name. However, that's exactly what everyone thinks.

So, maybe it's me that doesn't know the difference.

"I once worked with a guy whose daughter was named LaTrina."

There once was a girl named LaTrina

Charged with knee-capping a young ballerina

When she couldn't make bail

They kept her in jail

Where she's held back by wire (concertina).

Is there a full moon tonight?

What annoys me the most is when parents spell the name of the child so strangely that when you call it out you get the stink eye for getting it wrong.

I wish there was a standard vowel pronounciation for names. Seriously, what is the correct way to pronounce Lea, Rylan, Kyan, Maya, Larissa, Dara or Lila?

The receptionist where I used to work named her daughter Tarjea. We all cracked up because we always talked about that fine “French” store we all loved. You know the one ladies - Target.

I have a granddaughter named Jaidyn, another named McKenna, and another named Kaitlyn. All three are hated names, but all the girls are popular, and pretty. I have two more granddaughters, Samantha and Sadie Rose, but I didn’t see them on the list.

All most of the made up names are good for is to demonstrate the immaturity and ignorance of those who make them up.

They enjoy being PITAs.
