My guess is that addressing this problem will require massive new taxes and draconian government control of the entire world economy.

For a start.

Does anyone have a Chicken Little graphic, preferably animated, that can be used with these stories?

Something like the “Oh No, not this $#%& again” photo.

Some scientists have speculated that effects of humans - from hunting to climate change - are fueling another great mass extinction

Speculate in one hand and crap in the other, and see which fills up first.

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

Take away the scare story aspect and the science is essentially true. The sun and natural causes can cause the temperature to change or other aspects of the environment to change in ways that are absolutely devastating to life, including human life. The several degree temperature change that caused the Little Ice Age was catastrophic to man and that was a “Little” Ice Age. A true Ice Age would be catastrohic to us even with our technology. This is just a fact we have to live with. We aren’t as important as we think we are, either in terms of impacting the environment or being able to master it.

The findings suggest humans will live in a very different future if they drive animals to extinction, because the loss of each species can alter entire ecosystems.

I thought that species were supposed to compete and the winners were to move on while the weak perished to the dustbin of history.

Isn't that what their precious evolutionary theory is all about? If so, then why does Human existence remain outside of their theory as if we are an alien race on the sidelines of evolution?

They can't have it both ways and on top of that these eco idiots have the hubris to think that we are now at the end of evolution and that any change is bad. According to their theory evolution does not stop and thus we are just moving along the time line.

These idiots need to make their thinking a little more logical if they are to be taken seriously.

ONLY if Obama’s dreams come true.

We will become a third world, primitive country and worship the earth. Of course Obama and his tribe will live like royalty because running the country into the ground will be very stressful annd require enormous endurance to LIE so much and make it happen.

Same old recycled crap. Over 40 years ago it was population bomb, food supply, water supply, cycles of starvation, blah, blah, blah.

I have never understood how/why Liberals insist that humans are merely glorified apes then simultaneously preach that we have gratuitously trashed the environment. Doesn’t all life consume environmental resources?

Is seems that Liberals have only a grudging respect (if at all) for the intellectual prowess of humans. Then, they pick and choose how and where blame may be attributed to humans for everything that is wrong with the environment. How many ways can they have it?

They need to accept humanity wholly and heartily for what it is and take it from there.
