What Car From Your Birth Year Do You Want?

Reader Zacarious has a brother-in-law incapable of finding just one car he likes so he suggested picking a car from his birth year. Now he's eying a 1969 Mustang Mach 1. What car from your birth year do you want?
Being born in 1983, choices are limited but very interesting considering the daily driver is already from 1986. But if the clock is rewound three years then we end up with a Callaway Alfa Romeo GTV6. The Callaway-tuned twin turbo V6 pushed out 230 HP for a 0-to-60 MPH time of just 5.9 seconds, making it one of the quickest vehicles on the block. It's also attractive and unique sound like someone you know?
What about you? Start with your birth year and pick out the car from this calendar year you'd most like to have in your driveway today.

This article makes me feel old.
I can’t believe kids born in the 80’s are driving already? Much less be in a position to be so selective.
Just wow.

Well, being that I was born in 1944 and WWII was still going on and the auto plants were still spitting out tanks, trucks, airplanes and such - I think I will pick a Dodge power wagon with a big ole winch and steel bumper. Just think of the fun it would be to drive in Dallas metroplex traffic. Bet all those BMW and Mercedes drivers would give me a little space when driving this, LOL...

You ain't old! You are only my age!
My best HS friend had a stupid ‘46 ford sedan that looked a lot like the one you showed. But was red instead of that obnoxious color. Was in great shape, rebuilt by a body shop employee, with a modern V-8 Ford engine, good paint, new interior.
However, there were no good American vehicles to choose from that year. The best I could find were British (MG and Triumph).
My first was a ‘55 Chevy 2-Dr Sedan I bought in ‘63. Real goer! Built by a guy for dirt-track racing/street. Race ready, ‘58 Corvette engine and transmission, posi-traction rear end, over-sized brakes.
Today, I just drive a ‘79 Corvette I've had for 30 years, a ‘99 GMC Jimmy SUV, and a ‘03 Jimmy Step-side PU.
