Well, the weather guys and gals sure had a lot of face time last night. Looks like there may be more today.
Cards and Royals, one each, now who gets bragging rights this year?
Whoever wins the tie-breaker today!
According to the baseball talking heads, the Royals are supposed to have one of the best group of up and coming players.
Cubbies and Red Sox play again tonight.
Here’s hoping the Cubs do it again.
Gotta root for the Cards, grew up listening them on my transistor radio.
...and they have better-looking uniforms.
I just finished repotting the trees and putting in the annuals (came up short on impatiens.) I’m hoping the rain holds off until I finish grilling.
P.S. I hate my neighbors. They just yelled at their dogs, for no reason. I don't need that today :(....
Dead chipmunk on the front walk does nothing to enhance curb appeal.
Our little chipman finally has a mate, they are so cute together, eating sunflower seeds under the bird feeder, digging up the freshly seeded lawn. Saw the first half-grown bunnies a couple of day ago; more than I have seen in a couple of years (sigh).
But no, I’m guessing a dead chipman won’t enhance curb appeal.
Our computer is making a weird noise; it is not hot but you can really hear the fan running. FYI, if we go off-line suddenly.
I missed the last 20 laps of the race due to cloud rotation.
The strawberries are picked and the food put in the fridge...time for a nap.
Just spent the last hour or so in the tornado shelter at werk. Supposedly "cell rotation" went right over us.
All’s well here. Glad to hear you’re okay. The one on our side of stateline didn’t give us any rain etc. So that’s good. Annie was non-plussed, she was sacked out.
Being 35 years in this house, and ignoring tornado sirens for much of that time, after Joplin, I got a bit more serious for the past couple of nights. Have semi-prepared the garage area under the kitchen, figure that’s the safest place, i.e, the windows will just fly across the room and hit the other wall. Need more chocolate, though. :)
Chocolate and Rum are a good combination.
I hope all is well with teh kittehs. Of course, tornadoes aren’t allowed in Perfect Village. /s
How are hte kittehs? Our’s is still napping, rousing only for supper.
They’re fine. They’ve been in and out hoping the bad weather has gone away. Currently they’re out but I don’t think either one will be pulling an all-nighter tonight.
Aside from being the large(r) size of our "Samson" model, these have the advantage of being assisted opening, too. Very ingenious, but a bit tricksy, at least for me. Still, it seemed that this weekend was an appropriate time to mention them. They're at the bottom of the picture, along with our Hobbit Hole prototype, and the smaller version of the KISS line.
I also have firearms neep, which I hope to make into other articles on Sunday and Monday.
The kershaw you provided to me is a jewel of a blade.... Your hobbit hole project provided tools to active duty troops that needed blades bad.... Your gift to this retired troop was very much appreciated. Used an carried at work every day...
Grateful....very grateful.
Is that Yellow Face that we are seeing?!?
It burns us!
Talon is going to hve to post about his new toy! We got a gun safe and the carry gun he’s been wanting for years now, a nice Kimber 1911.
Nowim next up on the list for new gun :) and it’ll be my ultimate carry gun, an Xd 9 subcompact.
