Hello everyone!
It has been about one month since the first surgery and I am doing better each day.
I started outpatient physical therapy last week and learned that while I am far less steady on my feet that I’d thought, I am doing very well considering where I’ve been. Physical therapy is working out well already as the therapist specializes in neurological and vestibular issues. She has been suggesting exercises to address both the surgery and the hemorrhage, which is great.
I am allowed to go on the treadmill again, but when I do so at home, I need to hold onto the railings. In therapy, I will be allowed to walk without holding onto anything. Today, I walked on our treadmill at home for 40 minutes unassisted.
Some of the facial muscles are coming back. I can close my right eye and use some of my muscles, although I still need to hold up my right side to smile.
Food issues are on the way to being resolved — Hooray! Pudding and pizza are still beyond what I can handle, but I can have some dairy and flour, and the proteins have expanded to allow for beef and pork (including bacon - Yay!). And of course, I’ve already started to work on a Cadbury Fruit and Nut bar. LOL
Thank you for your good thoughts, prayers, friendship and support!
Cheers,
save

What a marvelous update, saveliberty! Physical therapy is a lot of hard work but it will pay off big time. You have the spirit and lots of prayers to help you along.

It all sounds good Win. Praise be to God!

So glad to hear from you, and to know that you are getting positive results from all your hard work. Keeping you in prayer. God bless.
But now don't be going all Type A on us & get rehabbed too fast, OK? Ya gotta take it v e r r r r y s l o o o o w l y & remember to slack off a little every now & then and kick back so this thread can get up to at least 2K hits.
It has to keep going! What ever would Foxy do with himself without his first & only thread to moderate anymore? ;-)
Way to go girl. We’re all very proud of you and pray for you every day.

As I mentioned in my note to you, a really bad virus managed to get into my desk top computer and destroy the hard drive. This was aggravated by Mrs. Fox having reminded me to backup my stuff on New Year's Day, and I replied: "Sure, as soon as I get around to it." Yeah, right. So now I am in the midst of major surgery on my main computer being guided by a man from the Philippines who assures me nothing can go wrong...go wrong...go wrong! Since I gave Dell the wrong info and they consequently sent me the wrong hard drive, this will take longer than a trip around the moon. Or vice-versa. I can never remember which circles what. [I am still recovering from learning that Earth is not flat!]
So, your progress is boosting my spirits. Hopefully, I shall be back soon, boosting yours. Just as soon as I master the tiny little keys on this laptop.
Meanwhile, work on the pudding. Pudding is a good thing. And it is good for all that ails you, so make it a priority.

* And to all FReepers reading this, back up the stuff on your computer so you don't lose valuable data and irreplaceable photos.
Great News Save!! Good thoughts and prayers continue!!
