Hi All,
I just received an e-mail from "saveliberty" advising me she has been hospitalized. The cause as she wrote was:
"I have a significant, but benign tumor near my ear that is pushing against a nerve (which hemorrhaged). It sounds bad but I have excellent care."
It certainly does sound serious to me, even though saveliberty said she was being well cared for. She did want me to let her FRiends here know of her condition. When I get further info, I will post it.
In the mean time, if you could add saveliberty to your prayers, I know she would be comforted by that.
saveliberty is often the Threadmistress, and I am but a poster. So, if you all could perhaps place saveliberty's situation in the proper locations, I would be very grateful. [Or Moderators, if you are reading this.]
Get well soon, saveliberty!
I could use a five or ten to see me thru until the weekend, Bah. 8)
Miss Marple, I know models walk with one book on their head to improve posture, but you seem to have nearly have a dozen on your head. What a woman!
So, good nite to all, especially to you saveliberty.
And welcome home!
LOL.
Good News. But you take it easy. :) Cibco and I are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
(((Hugs)))
Thank you!
I had a pretty good night and so now I am up and dressed for 8am Mass with Mom. Our pastor had come all the way into Boston to see me and to give me the sacrament of the anointing of the sick. It was a very moving prayer.
When he was there, he asked that we pray for him as well. I’ve added him to my prayers but Mom thought that she wanted to go this morning specially to thank him. I think that this is a great idea and I am up for it.
Plus I am having a nice cup of coffee with Mom and Dad.
Awesome, watch out for “Kennedy” traffic. {{{{SL}}}}
LOL
No Kennedy traffic up here, deffie! (((Hugs)))
Life without coffee...just not worth it.
:) In the hospital, it was like pulling teeth to get it. I wouldn’t have minded, except that the nurses and doctors told me that I could, but the dietitians (who are great, by the way), weren’t informed.
I made the doctors laugh when I told them that the night nurse had noticed that my pulse goes very low when I sleep. I said that it would not be a problem if they let me have more coffee.
Everyone roared with laughter and the doctors said that I had a point. LOL Which may be part of the reason why I was told that I could have however much I wanted. Or not. :)
I would not personally want to get between save and her coffee.
You are as wise as you are wonderful, Bahbah. :)
Don't know if you read my post from last night but these town hall meetings are doing me in. Last night was my 2nd. Both had over 1,000+ in attendance. Only a few were “trolls”. A few Obama-ites stated statistics that put the USA low on the totem pole of health without pointing out that many countries don't count infant mortality until one month or more after birth. Or that we have a higher mortality then some countries because of our vast and fast highway system or because our military are defending their countries! Etc, etc. One guy actually asked the congresswoman if she was ashamed of our health care. The next guy, from England, clued this dufus in on socialized medicine and reminded the troll that the VIPS from many of these countries come to the USA when they need advanced or quicker health care. Aaaaaaaaarrrrrggghhh!
Thankfully, you are being treated under the non-Obama care system.
Gee, I typed so long that it is now after noon. Therefore, good afternoon, save! 8)
Hello everyone,
Well it took me nearly the day, but I have a ping list and boy are my fingers tingling. LOL
I spent the day being quiet but I hope to be back to my jogging self tomorrow. I have a physical therapy session scheduled for Monday to work on balance and I am trying to use my arm and hand muscles gently but actively.
The Ministry of Silly Walks wasn’t necessary today as my foot was feeling more normal, but I may need to start that up tomorrow again.
Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers.
I am not doing too well with understanding the rest and relaxation thing, but I am working on it! LOL
You do what you are told young lady!
You are in my prayers!
(((Hugs)))
Thank you, tol!

I think that I want to do a little jogging soon.
Don’t mind me, I have two things in my head. LOL
So glad to see you, silly walks and all!
Prayers of continuing recovery and good health!
You listen to those doctors and rest. I will continue to pray for you as you recover that God will renew your strength.
Save, my friend, get yourself back to 100% and then come back here and play with the rest of us.
Seriously, I am happy to learn you are home, and my prayers are still with you.
Be safe and God bless.
You go girl!
Thank you for the update! Prayers continue...
Thank you, notpoliticallycowrecked. Thank you so much for your prayers and your excellent observations.
I have learned that for me, where I am is the best place in the world for me to be this sick. I have one surgeon in charge of the hemorrhage and another in charge of the tumor. The hospital ranks as third in the US per US News and World report and everyone there impresses me greatly.
I am very pleased with my surgeon for my tumor. He’s done thousands of these operations and gave me a lot of assurance that while I will lose hearing in one ear, that the operation will go to such a level of precision that they are confident to avoid partial facial paralysis.
I also could not be happier because I have my family and friends nearby. The outpouring of support has been overwhelming.
Thank you once again.
Cheers,
save
Thank you, maggief! (((hugs)))
Thank you, Lovergirl!
Heh, bourbon vanilla - not a bad idea... LOL
No booze for meez :)
:) Thank you, leilani! My folks have gone through heck but the good news for them is that I am home and here. The other wonderful things is that the friends that they have made here are reaching out to help them with anything that they can think of.
It’s not a great situation, but they have more help and support than I can even describe.
Continued prayers for you.
May the doctor’s hands be guided by God. May He give wisdom and understanding toward what to do and how to think.
Prayers for peace for you and your family.

I had a good night last night. My foot is definitely improved from yesterday, although there is not a similar progress on my arm and hand. The good news is that the arm and hand seem as though they are not quite as bad as they were yesterday.
We are all pulling for ya’, sl!
Prayers for a full and speedy recovery.
(((((saveliberty)))))
You rest up, young lady!! Take care of yourself! Sending good thoughts and prayers your way!!! :-D
(((Hugs))) all around.
I am taking it easy this morning. I wasn’t up for morning Mass, but I will go on a short walk with Dad when he gets back. He is taking a real walk before we do a short hop up and down the street.
I had two whole cups of coffee this morning, which I enjoyed, but I had to get used to the post coffee jitters. Heh. I am not used to having that much.
I am still contacting friends to let them know what’s going on. I feel bad for doing it, because they have to hear it all at once and that makes it harder, but they need to know and in the end, they see that it’s big news, but dealable.
Good also to hear you are being treated at Mass General because that should surely ease your parents' mind quite a bit. They'll fix you up in no time.
How did you know there was a problem to seek medical care in the first place - i.e., what were your symptoms? Was it the numbness?
Well, if you were a righthander & are having to write with your left hand temporarily until the nerves get unpinched, let me be the first to say: welcome to the lefthanders' club! You know what they say, thanks to the bilateral assymetry of the brain, only we lefties are really 'right' in the head, so you may not ever want to go back. ;-)
Thank you so much for keeping us informed! Prayers continue...
You are getting addicted to coffee! You've gone from one cup, to one and a half cups, and now you have had two whole cups. At this rate you might actually have three cups by week's end. Not to worry, I know a good rehab facility. They brought me down to 24 cups a day from twice that amount. 8)
And now I know where the term “hopping mad” comes from. 8)
Enjoy your day, “Hoppy”.

Thanks, leilani!
I had been experiencing severe vertigo a handful of times over the past year. At my age, that is not out of the ordinary for women, so no one knew.
Then with this most recent event, I had unsteadiness on my feet, symptoms like food poisoning, and numbness on my right.
The other symptoms seemed to go away, but the numbness got worse and I went to the ER, where they found the hemorrhage and then when I was transferred to Mass General, they found the tumor.
:) I still have mobility on my right - it’s just not normal yet. But I am optimistic as my foot is getting better and my arm is not quite what it was yesterday.
I just came back from a little walk with Dad. He took his real walk first and then came back and went a ways with me.
LOL
No jumping up and down yet, FOXY!
“Post coffee jitters” - that’s why I don’t drink coffee. The rest of my family love’s coffee, the stronger the better. They can’t figure out what happened to my coffee gene. Ha.
Keeping you and your family in prayer. Praying for your medical team and all those tending your health needs. God bless.

Thank you!
Today was a slow, but good day. I did manage a two hour excursion with Mom and Dad to the stores, and that went fine.
I am working through the unsteadiness. Of course, I can always be sneaky and take smaller steps, but really, where would the fun be then? LOL
I forgot to add that Dad is cooking burgers on the grill. Who is coming? :)
(((save))) Keeping you in my prayers every day.
It’s hard to find the balance between resting and pushing yourself so you can get better.
It’s good to hear from you and know that you are continuing
to improve. God be with you and your “baby steps”!
Me and Cibbie. Love to you.
“I forgot to add that Dad is cooking burgers on the grill. Who is coming? :)”
Tell Dad to make it a 3/4 pounder this time, medium-well, bacon, cheese, lettuce, two slices tomato, mayo, ketchup, mustard - onion rings on the side, please.
LOL
I'm out in Amityville with my fiance, SweetiePalm.

We are in Massachusetts. Sparko got the deluxe burger with onion rings.
:)
save, I thought you were barely 21! Am I wrong?
SL, bless your heart, I’m keeping you in my prayers. Foxfanvox, thanks for the thread.
