Hi All,
I just received an e-mail from "saveliberty" advising me she has been hospitalized. The cause as she wrote was:
"I have a significant, but benign tumor near my ear that is pushing against a nerve (which hemorrhaged). It sounds bad but I have excellent care."
It certainly does sound serious to me, even though saveliberty said she was being well cared for. She did want me to let her FRiends here know of her condition. When I get further info, I will post it.
In the mean time, if you could add saveliberty to your prayers, I know she would be comforted by that.
saveliberty is often the Threadmistress, and I am but a poster. So, if you all could perhaps place saveliberty's situation in the proper locations, I would be very grateful. [Or Moderators, if you are reading this.]

As to the important news of the day, I have not received any updates today on saveliberty. Maybe someone else can provide one in a while, but for now, all is quiet.

I am home and made in it upstairs to my room (24 steps, LOL) in one effort. I took a little rest and now am sending a brief but heartfelt thank you to all of you for your kind words, thoughts, prayers, pictures and laughs. (Full disclosure - I am on the fourth floor, but not for much longer today). Please forgive me if I missed someone.
I can do well with my walker, but walking with my cane is harder. Every day, something gets better.
My friend Roberta and Mom’s friend Barbara were very worried about the steps. Barbara even called the fire department to ask if they would take me upstairs if I needed help. LOL LOL LOL Can you imagine a cherry picker poking up to a bedroom window to let someone in?????
Roberta also thought that I should rent a hospital bed and dump it in the living room. After several nights of the annoying massage boots (it’s more like getting your blood pressure taken on your legs :p ), my own bed felt fine.
And my bandages look amazingly like leilani’s picture of me. :D
I am still weak and won’t be doing a lot of posting yet, but I wanted to let you all know how much your good thoughts and prayers mean to us all.
I don’t look at the loss of hearing in one ear to remove a very large tumor to be a bad trade at all: it’s the life that I’ve been given that I would not have had if we hadn’t gone in and taken the tumor out.
I hope to be a better correspondent in the coming days, but it’s slow going at this point.

Are you sure you wouldn't want a nice, handsome fireman to help you up those stairs? Sounds pretty inviting to me, LOL

You are too smart to have to be told to take care, so I won’t. Besides, it sounds like you have quite enough Mother Hen type attention with the kind Roberta.
