I’m not going to get worried until I see this thing mutate and jump to the next phase of infected people. So far haven’t all been directly connected to Mexico then it stops?
Mild also. Is it weakening as it spreads..if it does spread. What about the people who have been in contact with the infected one bringing it from Mexico.
Not looking like this has the ability to strengthen and spread..I see two steps so far..not a full blown network of infection or we aren’t seeing it yet.
The more I think about the time line the more I think that this had to be manufactured.
1. The first two cases in the US were on April 4, in California. The people had just gotten back from Mexico. The man had the flu shot and his daughter didn’t. So from April 4th to the 13th is quite a long time between cases.
2. Mexico has been the hardest hit. During the time of warring factions, one faction is said to have Islam terrorists in their midst. It would be interesting to find out if the region hardest hit just happens to be in the part of Mexico of the opposing faction.
3. Most cases from Canada, New York Japan and UK etc were those who had been in Mexico within the past two weeks.
I would say that not only do we have a potential bioterrorist attack but we have an on going cover up by this administration to keep it quiet until after his hundred day celebration.
If the truth ever comes out it will be the lone conservative working for WHO or CDC unless they use the Alinksy tactics. Keep your eye out for a conservative that committs Obamacide or suddenly is asked to resign because they might have embezzeled. Keep your eye out for te Stevens effect.

Instead, you had better keep an eye on the real disease which is Washington, Di-Sease, and its crooks, because they are trying to scare you witless so you don’t see what is happening in Washington.
I have been following this very closely for the last 72 hours and have not heard of any deaths in the US. Only one short hospitalization and that person had an underlying health problem. All cases in US have recovered.

Ok good. That’s what I thought was happening as well. No travel restrictions regarding travel to and from Mexico, however. Imho, this is a big mistake.

Well if it was manufactured they better get back to the drawing table...with the numbers growing in the U.S. we have yet to see a death and all have recovered as though having a normal flu. Unless this thing mutates it is pretty much just a pesky fly, swat at it and move on. :)

Starting to agree. See post # 7. The US knew this was a swine flu bug before last weekend..yet the Obama Administration said nothing! ZIP..ZERO..NADA!
People in weak health die every year from the flu. A friend of mine lost both parents to the flu with a week of each other (this was a couple years ago, during an average flu season.)

I thought the chain letter analogy for Captain Trips was really powerful, especially when King described the lives and actions of some of the “carriers” of CT. You feel sorry for the New York family knowing they’re all going to die. I really like the quote near the end of the chapter:

You need pigs, chickens, and humans living under the same roof...literally. Crazy as that sounds, it was done in the poorest regions of china and south east asia...maybe it still is.
