Former astronaut: Man not alone in universe
cnn ^ | April 20 2009

Earth Day may fall later this week, but as far as former NASA astronaut Edgar Mitchell and other UFO enthusiasts are concerned, the real story is happening elsewhere. Mitchell, who was part of the 1971 Apollo 14 moon mission, asserted Monday that extraterrestrial life exists, and that the truth is being concealed by the U.S. and other governments. He delivered his remarks during an appearance at the National Press Club following the conclusion of the fifth annual X-Conference, a meeting of UFO activists and researchers studying the possibility of alien life forms. Mankind has long wondered if we're "alone in the universe. [But] only in our period do we really have evidence. No, we're not alone," Mitchell said. "Our destiny, in my opinion, and we might as well get started with it, is [to] become a part of the planetary community. ... We should be ready to reach out beyond our planet and beyond our solar system to find out what is really going on out there." Mitchell grew up in Roswell, New Mexico, which some UFO believers maintain was the site of a UFO crash in 1947. He said residents of his hometown "had been hushed and told not to talk about their experience by military authorities." They had been warned of "dire consequences" if they did so.

"NNB, ping to story short inspiration fodder."

Nah, not believable enough.

“All I can say is “Prove it”. Until he can, it is just guesswork”

Same goes for those crazy Chirstians and their crazy bible.

Taking questions following his presentation, Mitchell told Cape Cod Today that his beliefs as expressed this morning about extraterrestrial involvements with humanity on Earth are drawn from information generally available to those who study the field of alleged "ET-UFO" events and experiences, citing no "secret information" to which he has been privy. He also contradicted some other presenters at X-Conference 2009, who claimed that Mitchell and the other NASA astronauts were briefed before their space flights about potential encounters with UFOs of an extraterrestrial nature and how to handle or disguise them from the public. He said unequivocally that this did not occur... "We had no briefings on UFOs during our astronaut training," Mitchell told the conference, suggesting that "human nature" tends to embellish and distort things about which there is insufficient information or which embody concepts disruptive of our respective world views.

” [But] only in our period do we really have evidence. No, we’re not alone,”

That is a definite statement. He said we have evidence. Where is it? Maybe any type of evidence might be helpful, but, not has come forth yet.

I tend to agree with Stephen Hawking. In his “Universe in a Nutshell” he reasons about this and points out that, due to the extreme needs of an anthropological being (i.e. humans) that, while there may be other planets in the galaxy that supports life, it is very unlikely that intelligent life as we know it has formed anywhere else. Anthropological beings need very special situations to form. He does not make a definite statement yah or nay, just unlikely. I tend to agree with him.

I myself think that God had to start somewhere. And here were are!

As for actual sightings of ‘Flying Saucers’, I stand out in fields for hours every month looking at the sky (I am an amateur astronomer) and have never seen anything that I couldn’t explain by pointing binoculars or a telescope at and seeing what it was.

As for expert testimony, show me a real expert. The closest thing to one around now is Stanton Friedman and I find him less and less creditable as time goes.

I recommend “Universe in a Nutshell” even though it is an older work, Hawking does have a way with a phrase.

Does Mitchell believe in astrology and psychics? That would certainly say a lot about his character.

No...the Bible is a mater of faith. Life in Space is a mater of science. Extraterrestrials are a matter of Science Fiction or Metaphysics (you can choose which) While you can’t mix apples and oranges, they can be made into fruit salad. As for the E.T.s, not everyone likes nuts in their fruit salad.

Like Hawking said in “Universe in a Nutshell” both science and religion are pursuing the Truth, and, that is a good thing.

Sorry for all the Hawking’s references, but, I just finished reading Nutshell last week and it is still fresh in the mind.

And when I say “meeting them”, I mean meeting them with a powerful fleet.

If ZerØ gets his way, we'll be lucky to take on the Chinese with a powerful fleet.

THAT has already been proven a great multiplicity of times through Bible Prophecy etc.

However, within 7+/-2 years or so of the UFO stuff being outted, SCRIPTURE will be greatly proven enormously true at ARMAGEDDON.

However, I suspect the viewing seats of unbelievers will be greatly different than those of believers.

I’ve talked with Stanton Friedman face to face a significant number of times.

He’s a real deal in a list of ways.

He’s also either consciously or deludedly deluded by the oligarchy and the critters in terms of the globalist agenda.

However his research and sharp analysis and reasoning are top flight in the field. He has shredded plenty of debunkers quite handily and humorously.

I have also suspected but never been able to verify that he likely has knowledge of very compact nuclear engines that we probably use to power the craft that we build after the pattern of the ET craft.

Evidently not all use such power modules. There is some indication, however, that even the pure ET craft—SOME of them—also use nuclear power units for the huge sums of electrical power needed.

I realize that the level of hands-on “proof” is insufficient for many folks who are hyper-objectivist in their sensibilities. I consider that a weakness on their part that can trap them in devastating pockets of ignorance in a wide variety of situations and contexts.

There really is 4,000 trace element cases that provides incredible tangible proof for those with any fair-minded or even high integrity at assessing such evidence.

Ditto for an increasing number of ‘other worldly’ implants now removed from abduction victims.

Folks who are incredulous at such quality evidence are, to me, showing their ignorance and their unreasonableness and their incapacity or unwillingness to fairly asses evidence. It’s sad and it’s laughable.

I don’t know about him and astrology.

Some folks get air-headed about that for various muddleheaded New Age reasons.

And the UFO field is rife with New Age hogwash.

Character is a tricky thing. It can be spotty, compartmentalized, transitory, complex etc.

He could be gahgah muddleheaded and ignorant off the wall about astrology and about globalism etc. and still quite scientific about a list of other things.

I think it’s more likely that a list of such folks have been told to share more . . .

There’s clearly an incremental raising of the bar toward managed incrementally greater disclosure . . . afoot.

Well, I had a blood draw on Monday, and whatever figure they’re looking for was so high they said to lay off the blood thinner pills and shots too, and to have another draw Thursday. From the results of that second draw, they reduced the strength of the pills, from a 7.5 to a 5mg daily, and upped the refills to 11 months, meaning I’ll likely be on them forever.

No more “rabies” shots in the stomach, though.

So when I went to get those other pills, I asked the gal behind the counter at Walgreen’s about the 10 syringes I’d been sent home with, and she quoted a price of 946 bucks. They’re preloaded with 100ml’s, and I was told to give myself 90 ml’s, meaning that 10 percent of each syringe went down the drain. In other words, one full syringe was destined to be thrown away, 94 dollars and 60 cents.

There’s 6 syringes left. Would make a helluva strange yard sale item, huh?

Other than that, I’m fair. Those blood pressure pills are pretty much true to the rumors - they’ll make you want to sleep a lot.

Thanks for the kind words.

Be good. Yeah, right! ;)

Goodness Bro.

Some I’d encourage to lay off the booze.

Maybe I should encourage you to lay off the cussedness!

Just do please take care of yourself as well as you can.

IS THERE ANYONE NEARBY TO HELP YOU AT ALL? How much are you still responsible for the old couple?

Concerned about you.

Hugs and prayers whether you like em or not. So there!

LUB.
