We now have a male Toy Poodle (Beau) and a female Italian Grayhound (Belle).
My 10 lb. toy doesn’t like male dogs who pay too much attention to his sister. He’s made a 6o ib. Bull Terrier and a 90 ib. shepherd retreat.
As the old saw goes - “It ain’t the dog in the fight”.

I love poodles and specifically wanted a male. They are a hoot! My “Spike” is 8 lbs (because the 6'4” “men” in my family can't stop treating him) of absolute profiles in courage, as was his predecessor my 12 lb. male toy poodle, “Hairy”. Although not the confirmation of my first, he's got the fire in his belly that Hairy had. You can work with everything else, but if the fire isn't there, you can't start one.
Vive les beaux chiens!

Beau is my pal. He’s always there, and just wants to be with us. He’s a great guard dog.
Belle craves attention and is so curious. She’s in constant motion and can seemingly be in several places at once. IGs have no fat on them. They’re all muscle.
I call Belle “Little Bird” after the Army’s MH-06 helicopter. The Little Bird has the greatest Lift - to- weight ratio of any US helicopter.

The poor dog
suffers from frenzied fits and is being treated with anti-depressants.So who's been slipping the foxy methoxy in the pooch's l'chow?
Or, is polypharmacy where it's at in the dog houses of France?

I used to treat a small poodle that had mauled the female owner and her boyfriend. While the two were having relations, the dog jumped into the fray and scarred both of them on the face for life. The scars were severe on the both of them. Why they kept the dog alive I will never know. From now on I will lock the dogs out of the room when I am .....you know....

Poodles and various designer-type poodle mixes tend to be a bit “voyeuristic”.
