It’s no surprise that a gay person would go Democrat. I do think Ellen is really funny and she seems pretty generous and humble.

I disagree with her politically, but she invited all the Republican candidates on her show. McCain was the only person who accepted and he stood strong on anti-gay marraige.

I guess I don’t mind her so much because she isn’t a rude and in your face liberal.

I agree. I like Ellen - not her lifestyle or political leanings - but she’s funny, humble and not in your face. Her standup when young was quite funny. Paula Poundstone was hysterical in her younger days as well.

Generally, yes, but significant exceptions exist more so than with blacks who go 9-1 Dem. It's more comparable to the percentages of Jews who vote Republican.

G W Bush pulled 20-25% of self-identified gay voters in his two presidential elections.

Well, she did try tp pull one on Jenna Bush. Laura and Jenna were on her show just before Jenna got married and Ellen asked Jenna if her Dad (GWB) would let her, Ellen and her “friend” get married at the ranch in Crawford. She really put Jenna on the spot. My take on it was that Ellen thought because GWB is the president and the WH belongs to the people, then so does the ranch in Crawford. I wanted to scream at her that the ranch was their private home and the Bushs’ didn’t owe anybody anything when it comes to their private property.

I've had to explain to 3 life long dimlibs that there certainly ARE gay Republicans and black Republicans! My sister thougt I made up the term Log Cabin Republican. lol
