Well, to add to your thoughts....People, this time it is different and we have to be aware of that. Obama is a phenom in the democrat ranks. They have fraudulently and otherwise, registered 100's of thousands of new voters at a time when Republican voters are not growing.

Even if a fraction of those democrat voters vote, we have a problem.

Should we whine?....Hell no...Should we fight? Yes, fight like hell and somehow, try to get McCain to fight too. But, this is not Bush, Kerry or Bush Gore. O is more formidable (more organized fraud). I live in a state (WA) where ACORN was a factor in fraudulently stealing the governorship from the Republican candidate....5 ACORNS went to jail, but they couldnt undue the election....

October. 9, 2008: McCain told Charlie Gibson:

"... this is a tough campaign. I'm the underdog. I've always been the underdog from the beginning. I was the underdog in the primaries."

October. 10, 2008: McCain tells crowd in Minnesota Campaign stop:

"“I want everyone to be respectful. And let’s make sure we are, because that’s the way politics is done in America.” “I have to tell you, he is a decent person, a person that you do not have to be scared [of] as president of the United States.”

Anyone who believes McCain is running a good campaign, is nuts. Anyone who thinks the McCain campaign is ignoring the polls, is a fool.

As in 2000 and 2004, the undecided voters will swing this election in the last week or two.

Again no facts just your opinion. Every campaign has their own polling organizations. They don't listen to the MSM polls.

As in 2000 and 2004, the undecided voters will swing this election in the last week or two.

Exactly. So why give up now. That's what McCain is doing. Trying to grab the undecided voters. That's why he's disowning some of these radical comments made by some of these angry constituents.

I wasn’t pointing fingers. But I have run across a few that are long time signup who think the bailout was a good thing.

If a person supports the bailout and the Fannie & Freddie deal they are Socialists.

I will not believe that Obama can/will win until it actually happens, if it happens. I am an old-fashioned optimistic American and proud of it. The MSM represents a minority of Americans. The MSM is the pompous loudmouth in the room. The silent majority is alive and well.

Well to be fair there was people getting McCain signs at the local Apple Butter Making Days festival happening this weekend and I have no doubt the local county won’t go for McCain but I am now worried about the margin of victory locally with all the Obama signs.

After reading about the guy with his McCain sign firebombed I think this may be the last election where political signs other than the ruling party will be allowed.

I have pretty much decided that being a registered Republican and Freeper that I will be deemed a danger to the new Socialist States of America under Comrade Obama.

We got to defeat Obama. I don’t want to sound negative but the odds appear stacked against us this election. To use an Lord of the Rings analogy we are at Helms Deep looking out at the Democratic Orcs.

“I Believe the Media Lies”

That phrase can have two opposite meanings, you know.

I’m not Chicken Little, but I don’t mind saying that I’m concerned—I sure as hell hope there is an October Surprise, because these are desperate times, and the deck is stacked against us. I never was a McCain fan to start with-not in 2000, not last year, and not now—he hasn’t given me reason to change my opinion of him. That said, I’d vote for the contents of McCain’s cat’s litter box over Obama.

I’ve heard, time and again, what a “poker player” Dubya is, just like I hear of what a “fighter pilot” McCain is (he was actually an attack pilot, to be technical.) Well, I’ve played poker, and while in the Marine Corps and afterwards, I’ve been a member of fighter and attack squadrons, and I’ll tell you someone might be a fighter pilot or a poker player, but not a good one-the way you tell is with results, and right now ol’ “fighter pilot” McCain is getting his a$$ handed to him by the worst candidate ever, who comes with 5 tons of baggage-sure he’ll play the race card, but ol’ “Straight Talk Express” needs to put the smack down in response-not too hard not too soft, just right. If he can’t do that, why the hell is he running? He grins that stupid grin like a guy getting a prostate exam (which he is, in this election) and “reaches across the aisle”, while they whip him like a rented mule. I know, he’s all we have at the moment-fine, but he NEDDS TO WIN, or we’re dead as a country.

There were a few options he had to plant a flag in the bailout crises, and he blew it. Now, I know, and you all know, that Obama and his ghetto rat deadbeat ACORN cronies are responsible, and McCain called for oversight back then (not effectively enough, but...) But what’s the narrative as of today-Obama’s zombies don’t care, and the ones that might, if you asked them, would say McCain and Bush got us in the mess-it’s not true, but it’s how the mouth-breathers “understand” it, and what’s McCain doing to define things or change those perceptions???? Every one of those idiots has a vote, and in some cases, more than one.

Maybe he’ll pull it out, but he needs to get his head out of his behind, or else install a glass belly button—ASAP

>>>>>Exactly. So why give up now.

Never said that. Those are your words.

>>>>>>Again no facts just your opinion. Every campaign has their own polling organizations. They don't listen to the MSM polls.

BULL! McCain's statements I posted are THE facts. He knows he's behind, both in the polls from external polling organs like Rasmussen, Gallup, and others, to what his own internals polls are showing. This is the same crap we heard for eight years about the two Bush campaigns for President and his time governing in office.

If you haven't noticed, Karl Rove has been working for Fox News and giving the results of his own analysis on the polls for months now. The same thing he did for Bush. LOL To say that Bush ignored external polling and likewise, McCain is doing the same thing today, is naivety of the first order.

My last post—sorry for the typo, I meant NEEDS to win.

I guess we could all use good news-I’ve lived in the Philly suburbs for 5 years-moved here for work. The 1st 2 yrs I lived in Swarthmore-nice town HUGE liberal area, affluent, 120% white. home of Swarthmore College-lib central: 2,000 students (smaller than my HS in Cleveland) 45K a year tuition...Very Dem town-very. I joined the Swarthmore GOP, and everyone jokes about secret handshakes, clandestine meetings, etc.

Yesterday, I spent the day in NYC-I now live a couple miles from Swarthmore. I drove there, parked, took the local rail into Philly, and Amtraked it to NY.

My route took me the length of Park St. in Swarthmore-1.5 miles lined w/ houses $300 400 500K and up-In 2004 when I lived there, that st. had 15-20 homes w/ Kerry/Edwards signs-some of the idiots left them up through the following January.Yesterday, the first house on the street had a McCain sign !

I decided to count the signs-there were 5 Obumble and 2 McCain-in fact there were about 10 Sestak signs (our local lame-o Congresscritter)most of those didn’t have an Obama sign. I was amazed that Obama didn’t have more signs. On the way home last night, I went back a different way, still in Swarthmore. 2 more Obumble signs-and 2 more McCain! total- I saw 7 Obama and 4 McCain signs. Not scientific, but-if THESE folks are lukewarm (or worse)on O, maybe we have something. I pray we do.

Bump.

It is somewhat enlightening to go to the PUMA forums (Hillary supporters for McCain). They are much more attuned to the pro-Obama media games and lies than many Freepers are.

Telling FReepers they believe media lies is the highest point of whining I can think of. IMO, it borders on paranoia. A desperate attempt to make some folks FEEL better about themselves. LOL

Politics doesn’t ignore anything, nor does it readily accept everything as the truth. Conservatives gave McCain a big boost when he chose Palin as his running mate. In the final 24 days McCain needs to step up and fight for himself. If he wants to win.
