It is very sad the number of people on this forum who fell for the lies of the liberal media and consider it as the golden truth. They believe their biased polls, they believe all the fabricated doom and gloom scenarios that the media unleash each minute, they now believe the lies that McCain is fighting with Palin over the style of campaigning, they believe that is all over and we cannot win.
Yet those are the same people who make fun for what they like to call “sheeple” and say that they are controlled by the media but in reality they are worse than any “sheeple” because they fall for all the lies and fabrication that the media spew constantly.
They are the one who lecture Republicans to get a spine or balls or whatever macho word they like to use in each comment they post but yet they have already surrendered and declared all is lost and we cannot win.
For the vast majority of us Freepers we are going to fight and we are going to win and will never believe the lies and fabrications of the media.
Right on the money jveritas. Lately its been a wailing pantywaist jamboree around FR, what a bunch of sissified surrender monkeys, Tokyo Rose, aka the MSM, has them wrapped completely around her finger.
I know that most people don't believe the media. The problem is that the media is where most people go to for news. I give people credit for realizing that the media is full of liars and propagandists yet where do they go from there. They may not believe what the media tells them but that doesn't take away from the fact they are still not hearing the truth. If they were hearing the truth you can be sure that Obama would be so far behind in the polls right now that a 50 state sweep for McCain would not be that far fetched.
I considered that theory as well, but if that were the case they’d all be commissioning “registered voter” polls. It also doesn’t explain the polls that Fox News is showing, which also show Obama in the lead.
Unfortunately, once a company becomes infested with liberal influences, capitalism gets thrown out the window sometimes. Look at the newspapers, hollywood movies, television - look everywhere - readership/viewership is down, but they insist on churning out their leftist hogwash. They don't care to take a hit for the cause.
I'm not saying all are like this, but I think we all know some that are. To these types - the message is more important than the money. Just like our institutions such as schools & churches - liberals are infiltrating everywhere they can make a difference. We could really stand to emulate them, I think.

Yes it has gotten really bad with the surrender type freepers.
And most of those West Virginia Democrats are socially conserative (Blue Dog Democrats), like Sen. Jim Webb of Virginia. This state went something like 66% to 33% for Hillary in the primary. Some counties were 88% to 10% against Obama. I wouldn’t call it a blue state without Hillary at the top of the ticket. The state went for Bush twice. McCain should win the state by at least 5% or more. I would be surprised if it were any closer.
But, this morning I listened as David Axelrod explained everything to me.
And, as I gazed into his soft, warm, eyes I came to the realization that my failure to condemn those harboring angst about the Messiah is the same thing as what Bull Conner did.
While I don't believe any poll in WV, having seen conservative candidates get more than twice as many votes as media polls there said they would, the fact is that West Virginia, as of this spring, had 665,234 registered Democrats, 347,760 registered Republicans, and 156,199 registered independents.
They have sided with Obama on the Iraq war and turned their backs on our troops.

The problem isn’t that freepers believe the media lies. We know that they are full of crap. The problem is that people who don’t follow political issues very closely, namely the great majority of undecided voters who will decide this election, get all of their news from the liars.
That’s what bothers me too. I email out Obama “damaging videos” and none of this picks up ANY traction anywhere else (not even FOX),and I wonder how much of a fool some think I am because of this. However, I don’t care what they think at the same time. Something will have to stick.
It’s just ridiculous that we have evidence of this fool with Domestic terror and Foreign Thugs, and the media is worried about a stupid cop and a taser gun.
I think no matter WHAT happens in this election there needs to be a STRONG movement to attack this media once and for all. The first part of taking this country back will be taking down the “MSM”.

West Virginia is a heavily democrat state (think Byrd & Rockefeller) - but they love their guns more than they love the Obama ticket. They are more conservative democrats.

Now, that's funny. They poll 1,000 people with methods we cannot even understand and tell us that's how 100 million voters will vote three weeks from now.
Here's a reality check for you.
People lie. People change their minds. The samples can easily be skewed. The people answering the polls are the ones answering the phone. A majority of hard-working people don't sit around at home waiting for the phone to ring from a pollster. A hell of a lot of people don't even have a home phone anymore.
Here's a dose of reality for you.
A hell of a lot of people registered do not vote.
Who is a likely voter and how likely are they to vote?
The election is on November 4, 2008 and NOT ONE DAY BEFORE.
