Berg, Esquire, [Berg is a former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania; former candidate for Governor and U.S. Senate in Democratic Primaries; former Chair of the Democratic Party in Montgomery County; former member of Democratic State Committee; an attorney with offices in Montgomery County, PA and an active practice in Philadelphia, PA, filed a lawsuit in Federal Court today, Berg vs. Obama, Civil Action No. 08-cv-4083, seeking a Declaratory Judgment and an Injunction that Obama does not meet the qualifications to be President of the United States. Berg filed this suit for the best interests of the Democratic Party and the citizens of the United States.
This topic has been a real teaser. Does this case have merit? Will it go anywhere? Any lawyers out there with an opinion?

It will go nowhere. It is a nice fantasy but it will not be successful.
If the Dems pick the VP first during the convention wouldn’t that possibly take out Hillary as the Pres. nominee? just asking
Actually, factcheck.org had access to the original. They’ve posted several pictures of the certificate, including the raised seal and document number.
I can't see it actually happening, but it will be interesting to follow this story to see if it gets any legs.
One has to wonder a few things:
1. Why now? Why wasn’t such a lawsuit filed long ago? Surely Hillary knew about this issue long ago and could have saved herself a lot of trouble.
2. Does this person have standing to file such a suit? If not, who does?
3. How is it possible not to have their constitutional eligibility checked for a job as important as President of the United States?

I’ll second that, comebacknewt. Throwing in free swipes like the dual citizenship issue is silly. Lots of people hold dual citizenship, often through no action of their own.
This is more political than factual.

We know now that he has no birth certificate. We also know that he will not pass the physical examination required to be president ( What? He doesn't have to pass a physical to be president?).
Well anyway, we know that Obama does not have a navel. No he has no belly button.
NBC pundits have discovered that Obama was not born, but hatched on a turkey farm in Hawaii.
We do know who his mother was, but the turkey, who was his dad has long since hit the thanksgiving platter.
The stuttering exhibited by Obama is simply his resisting the impulse to gobble.No good can come of it.That also is why Obama detests any one making gravy, but that is another story.
Obamas brain is about the sice of a turkey brain as well, about the size of a small walnut.
This is why he is unable to think quickly on his feet or respond without blinking his nictatating eye membranes. Just remember. None of this matters. Soros said so.

We don’t even know his birth name. The earliest verified documents we have regarding his real name are from Indonesia and indicate his name was Barry Sotero and he was a Muslim.

We can only hope this goes everywhere...and it should burn up the emails. I think that there is too much here for all of it to be false, or to be overlooked. And even if only one charge is true, that should certainly be enough to take Obama out. I can’t imagine any Dem Atty. putting his neck out there, to perhaps ruin his reputation, for filing such a lawsuit unless he is sure he has discovered/uncovered even a “margin of truth,” to tie into. But then, perhaps I am optimistic about this attorney, but it appears he is well-versed and experienced in this matter. Again, as Americans we can only hope that our country is not on the brink of our very Constitution being ignored in such an outlandish manner. Woe is the day!
The McCain one was different than the Obama one, because McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone, the Panama Canal Zone was a U.S. territory at the time of McCain’s birth on Aug. 29, 1936 which was during the time his dad was serving our country. So McCain was considered a U.S. citizen.

This “lawsuit” will be consigned to the trashcan when it arrives at the courthouse.

So Berg is doing this to beat Repubs to the punch? I am not getting his reason for this suit except that he supports Hitlery and obviously hates Hussein? Is that it? Definitely is a nut bar with extra nuts. This is just a sideshow but it embarasses the DEMONcRats since he is one of them so that is always good. Plus there are some people that will just believe it is true and maybe will cast even more doubt on the annointed one.
