You probably know the story well: On the 14th of June, 1947, after a powerful thunderstorm in the desert, a rancher, William "Mac" Brazel noticed some strange debris while working on the Foster ranch near Roswell, New Mexico. He does the right thing, what any American would do. He loads some of the debris in his pickup truck, and takes the stuff into town, and shows the sheriff. The Army Air Force is called in, teams of heavy equipment and troops scour the site. A press release is given to the public by Lieutenant Walter Haut, the public relations officer at the Roswell Air base in 1947, and the sensational news is broadcast around the world: The United States military is in possession of a crashed flying saucer....

We have proved that Al Gore (he invented the internet you know) is indeed an alien; how do we establish if he was the product of an alien breeding program(his/her/its embryo was rejected as unstable and placed in a human host) or was he a byproduct of a secret military-industrial complex government test manipulating the viability of the alien DNA/ human embryo???? Or is Al Gore just a natural loon unrelated to aliens and space radiation???

Actually, John Titor visited them and introduced a number of technologies, but time travel was too much for the sensitivities of the general public, so they came up with “Roswell”. Corso fell for the classified cover story of alien visitation, but it was really a lone time traveller... LOL!!

Oswald was using a Carcano, the most inaccurate rifle in human history.

Sorry, the Carcano was used by the Italian Olympic team,
With a good issue weapon and a competent gunsmith they can be made very accurate. Certainly accurate enough and fast enough operating to do what Oswald is supposed to have done.

If there was no Roswell, where’d we get the idears for them fancy lazers, night vision goggles and ah-lou-mini-um foil?

Nicola Tesla, himselft either an alien, a time traveler or someone in touch with them, described all of them fancy thingies over 100 years ago.

Seriously, look up some of the things he did invent (not to mention the things he allegedly invented that have been "suppressed") such as a radio control torpedo (demonstrated to the public in Madison Square Garden in 1898!) or a little thing called radio (as we know it today, Tesla's patent was confirmed by the Supreme Court in 1943 after his death).

The late Mercury 7 astronaut Gordon Cooper (Dennis Quaid portrayed him in "The Right Stuff") wrote a fascinating autobiography called "Leap of Faith." Most of the book is about his life and adventures as a pilot and astronaut. Only a few pages in the book are devoted to his personal experiences with UFOs and UFO coverups, but those few pages are enough for me. You can stick to the ignorance that enables you your bliss and joyous derision -- it's too late for me. While I hope you're right that it's all the mere fantasies of "kooks," I'm pretty sure that hope would be in vain.

More to the point, I sure as HELL hope we never find out en masse in our lifetimes that Gordo and the folks you dismiss as "kooks" (that would include my husband and his son, along with a whole lotta other pretty credible, level-headed people) were telling the truth after all.

Not quite sure whether you are

1) a fearless believer
2) a believer who is scared (sounds like bedlinen)less
3) a spiteful alien
4) hoping your husband is a liar
5) sure there is a squadron of alien spacecraft poised to invade your property and cart you off.
6) an aeronautical engineer with technical schematics

I think #2 would describe me pretty well.

So you think Gordon Cooper lied?

Finny - I liked your honesty.

“””So you think Gordon Cooper lied?”””

Answer: I have no idea. Just a dilettante on this thread. There are more things in heaven & earth...and I’m comfortable with that.

That is when ignorance is truly bliss.
Kindly
sod

Just want hard scientific evidence dude.

When that happens Ill be the first to throw the party.

Fantastical claims must produce some hardcore evidence.

Science is the best methods to dessriminate between BS and fact.

When the facts change, Ill change my opinion. What do you do?

Add to your list of what you're not quite sure I am ... I am experienced in the ways of newsrooms, news editors, and news reporting. It has given me insight into the truth that just because a report isn't validated by "credible" mainstream media, doesn't mean it didn't happen. In fact, it's a lot easier to cover-up (by ignoring) a story than anyone would ever imagine, even when witnesses try to break the media's vow of silence. From a riot at an American tourist mecca that normally would have made national news, to protests at a Presidential candidate's stump speech.

It kinda changes your perspective on the reliability of the news media when it comes to reality versus what people do and don't want to hear.
