Ron Paul is an alien!
He was/is a very good emergency physician. I worked with him for about 7 years. He appeared to be well grounded in reality as far as Medical matters went.He was quite naive as far as military/government matters went. I was/am ex-military with some experience in matters I won’t go into except that my frequent statement to Steve was “You are messing with people who DO NOT PLAY BY THE RULES”. He was unconvinced until the Black Blazers situation, and then he started listening to me (in some things). He found out quite by accident (funny story) that his phone was tapped, and came to me for help/instruction about ways to protect himself and family. He has a beautiful wife and beautiful children (one special needs). My statement to him was “ I am a small fish in a small pond who wishes to stay that way (plus continue to waste oxygen). It was not long after that that he sold his NC home and bought a horse farm in Virginiato be nearer to Washington DC.He did take some of my safety suggestions to heart. I did strongly discourage his request for me to teach him to shoot. I didn’t have time to teach him properly and he would have probably shot his toe off without proper training. I did point him to someone who would teach him.His wife was very smart and educated. I think she was helping with the research and was quite organized.
I realize it’s great fun to ridicule the topic and those of us interested in serious discussion about it.
Thankfully . . . or not . . . depending . . .
such ridicule and mocking will bear a very heavy price tag when the reaping from the sowing sets in.
That is inexorable.
Oh, repentance etc. can alter such reaping . . . but usually not totally.
So, ridicule away . . . just be aware of the future tab. It may well be more than you’d like to pay at the time . . . but it won’t matter. There will be no choice. The sadness and regret will be real and a lot worse than the fun now, I’d guess.
I have no idea per se what form such reaping will take. I just know from my own experience with such reapings that the cost is much, much more than I cared to pay or even thought I could bear paying, at the time.
But, y’all will find out about that in due time—much before your 60 years, I’d guess.

I actually used to get pretty good gas mileage in mine, it was a 5 speed w/o a/c, so...:-)
Had to give it up after 8 years back in the day. I still miss that little car. *sniff* First time I ever felt like a real grown-up.

I think he would appreciate your contacting him and encouraging him. My sense of him is that all of this has weighed him down terribly.
