Caramel popcorn with nuts.

Quote:

Poppycock® is sweet indulgence, a gourmet popcorn lover’s dream for over 40 years. Crunchy and splendidly scrumptious, Poppycock clusters are a sinfully savory sensation. Loaded with premium nuts, fluffy popcorn and topped off with our Amazing Glaze™ coating, Poppycock is a potpourri of tantalizing tastes guaranteed to have you yearning for more.

End quote.

You know, when I was younger I might have said the same thing. Now w/age and therapy, I realize trying to get 'unavailable' men into a relationship is just a waste of my time and an indication of some emotional problem on my part. : )

I'm sure that did complicate things for you. Hope you'll start to feel better this week.

BTW ... if anyone starts a classical music thread please add me to the ping list.

No, not right now. Have over 40 years in Alaska, and graduated from Chugiak High School! So I know Eagle River, Chugiak area.

Here's some good spots in the area to hit.

George's North Slope Restaurant(Eagle River)

Also right over the hill from the McDonald's (Eagle River) is a business mall. They have a great (or used to be) a good Mexican place.

Another good one is at the Peter's creek exit. If your going North, take the South Peter's creek exit, turn left at the bottom of the ramp. It's about 75 yards to the next intersection, turn left there also. It's about 200- yards to Bella's, on the right hand side. It's the big blue building. It's a steak and Pizza place.

Have you tried the Poppycock with cashews? Now, THAT is a guilty pleasure. I could eat a whole box.

I like Chili's too. Their Shanghai wings with wasabi are wonderful, and their margaritas, and their Cajun steak, and their.......everything I've tried there has been great!

Hope you are doing better today, Dolly.

Am I sure? No...I'm not really sure about anything. I just know that I want to be involved in either politics or government and I'd really like to go back to DC, probably right after graduation. Although I'd be willing to postpone going to DC if I got involved in a campaign here.

The problem with being a volunteer is I don't have the time for it this semester. And I graduate in May so I certainly can't work without pay after that.

Yeah, but I really want to go back to DC. So if I were to do a campaign, it would kinda have to be presidential. As much as I love the South, I don't feel like I'm supposed to stay here.

George's North Slope Restaurant(Eagle River)

The restaurant sold a year or so ago. All the mounts are gone. The food is still good and the new owners have done a better job of bringing live entertainment to the bar. Garcia's is serving pretty good Mexican food, but some days their service is a little more authentic Mexican than we would like.

I think of Poppycock as high-end Cracker Jacks. FiddleFaddle would be mid-range; Cracker Jacks low-end (even without the lame prizes!). Trader Joe's has a great version called "Rosencrunch and Guildenpop," which is a killer deal compared to Poppycock. Good, good stuff.

And snugs, thanks for the green chocolate pretzel info - it's on the agenda, now, for sure. ;-D

Never heard of Bully, but I'm not a gamer. What's the premise? I'm picturing a schoolyard with the cartoony baddie kid from the Toy Story cartoon... ??? Who are the characters, and what are the weapons?

Maybe a part time evening volunteer whilst working during the day - tiring but maybe the only way to get started.

LOL! Those would cover all the bases, except there was a fourth in that sweet/affection, carbo/comfort, crunchy/angry saying... I think it had to do with salt. In which case, the chocolate-covered pretzels once again save the day.
