As Peyton is boarding his Gulfstream 5 next Monday with his golf clubs in tow,I want to be there to yell "hey,Peyton, just rub some dirt on it" to him.

"... their first shot at a world championship in 36 years."

Hah ha, I don't think so!

It would be their 1st shot, period. "In 22 years", if you like. ;-)

I make no predictions on this one. Colts/Pats are too close to call. Ought to be a great game. I'll predict overtime...........

At the two minute warning of the second half,I guarantee that you'll be able to hear a pin drop in the RCA Dome.Tom Brady has a way of doing that to away-game crowds.

Translation: My team lost and I'm just gonna sulk.

My team (49ers) was never in it, anyway. ;)

As a Saints fan, I'm in a wierd place headwise right now...I'm sooo used to not caring about the playoffs.

I sincerely doubt that New Orleans is ready for Hurricane Brady.

That would be a helluva Super Bowl. I like Brady. But I wouldn't rule out a close Saints win on that one. Hope it happens.

The Pats played the late game and had to fly across the country, they have to travel to Indy, the media is saying Manning deserves the championship, the Pats are without 3 starting DB's and 1 LB....I think the Patriots have the Colts right where they want them!!

"They're just copying the Patriots successful game plan of previous years."

You obviously have not been to many Colts games. The Colts offensive scheme is nothing like the Pats (count how many wide receivers and tight ends each offense employs). If the Colts had their way Adam V would be kicking nothing but extra points. But, if the opposing D gets tight inside the 20 it is nice to have an ace like Adam up your sleeve. I do agree with you that whoever wins this game will win the SB.

Either way, the winner of this game will also win the Super Bowl.

They will be favored for the SB, but no team this year is that dominant. This SB is wide open.

I thought this was an Indy area article until I saw the source. Is there a rolls-eyes emoticon anywhere around here. Good gravy.

Not really . . . the NFC is definitely the JV squad this year. Whoever wins Pats/Colts will crush the Saints or the Bears.

The NFC is the weaker conference, but both the Colts and Pats have weaknesses and have been inconsistant this year. The Saints have enough talent on both sides of the football to give either team a run for their money. The Colts defense seems to be using smoke and mirrors. How could they be that bad during the regular season and this good in the playoffs? The Bears are the only team that seems to be a long shot. Their defense is hurt and is not good enough to carry them.

At this point, with only one playoff (now two) win under our belt after 40 years, I'd be dancin' like a crazee if we just got to the Superbowl.

Funny thing, since New Orleans is in the middle of Carnival, does anyone here think that if they win on Sunday, the residents are gonna kick the drunken college students off the street and take Rue de Bourbon back?

Wouldn't want you to go out on a limb there. Pretty dangerous picking a winner of a football game.

The Colts play incredibly fast at home on the turf. The Colts will put more pressure on Brady than the Pats will pressure Manning. If the Patriots can keep our DL out of their backfield they should be competitive. This game will be about which quarterback has the best game and that will rely on the time they get to find a receiver.

Don't look for the Colts to make the bonehead plays made by San Diego last week. You don't win twelve games or more for four consecutive years by playing stupid.

Good luck and may the best team win.

Peyton would be wise to wear shades during Sunday's game otherwise he'll be blinded by the light reflected off of all the Super Bowl rings that the Pats will be wearing.

With the exception of the Denver game last year, every team has been boneheaded against the Patriots in the playoffs. They do odd things. That thing that worked for you all game - when it's important, you're throwing underneath to a linebacker just standing there between you and the receiver who's been there for you all game. This team is nowhere near as dominating as the 2003-2004 teams were, but they can still do things to make other teams look stupid, and make other coaches look ill-prepared.

I'm not saying that the Patriots will win this, but they are playing a slightly different game. You can watch by the flow when they'll simply take the ball away - and just prior to when they do that, it looks to most like the other team is doing well against them.

Maybe you meant the two minute warning of the first half...
