When school officials give into an obstinate yet cowardly idiot who believes that Santa Claus is Too 'Religious' For a School Fundraiser, then Warwick, NY is in serious need of a vastation in its school system.

That is completely and totally ABSURD.

Our PTA "Breakfast with Santa" is tomorrow, as i mentioned on that thread. The only complaints ahve been from a couple of Girl Scout parents, because tomorrow is also the Chincoteague Christmas parade and most of the local GS troops will be in that.

well you may not have as many non-Christians. i know from when my kids were little we went every year to Nordstrom for the breakfast with santa, then it was breakfast with FROSTY and now i don't think they do ANYthing like it any longer. there are TON of arabs that shop there at Tysons. they also had the really cute OLIVE THE OTHER REINDEER theme a few years back, which xsbrownie loved.

it's no surprise that i had not had chinese food before moving down here, bc there were none/few chinese restaurants staffed by natives up there. i love chinese food, but i would probably still not eat chinese in PGh.

It's different now, at least with Chinese food. Now my parents, or my wife's parents never have eaten it and never will. I didn't have any until I was visiting my sisters in suburban Maryland one summer in high school.

But now there are many Chinese places about. They seem to do well, especially the buffets. My daughter has loved the stuff since her earliest days. Nothing spicy, of course.

I do wonder whether the Chinese restaurants, Asian nail parlors and "massage" places (before they got busted) aren't all part of the same enterprise. If you're no good at doing nails, they make you work giving massages.

There's Chinese people making it and serving it and pretending to have American names. It's not like we've got Poles and Italians making it.

I just think Italians should run Italian restaurants. Chinese people should run Chinese restaurants. Is that wrong?

When I was in San Francisco a few years ago I laughed at a place called "Chico's Pizza." Just incongrous, know what I mean?

omigosh we have no dagos making pizza here, we have greeks, arabs and hispanics making them, but very few dago pizza makers! this area just doesn't have the OLD ethnics, we have the NEW ones, asians, africans, hispanics etc. It would be so cool if someone would open a Polish restaurant down here.

Stop making me hungry for Chinese food-I'm grilling ribeye steaks, baking potatoes and steaming asparagus for dinner.

When I was married to my ex, the the best "real" Mexican restaurant-as in no Texmex food-that we went to in SA was owned by a guy from San Miguel de Allende who was a rep for Merck-and the cook there was Vietnamese...
