Check you new Voter Registration Card to see if you are in the "revised" 4th Congressional District..Nope, Marion County (my part, anyway) is too far south. By the way, have you seen how they shredded Marion County in redistricting. We are cut up into about 6 districts, and with only about 250,000 people, no one will give a damn about us, probably even Cliff Stearns, one of the most conservative Congressmen, who comes from Ocala.

Yeah! Yeah! Defeat that slime Crenshaw! Despite the fact that he has an excellent CONSERVATIVE voting record, he hasn't endorsed a certain David Osborne for the U.S. Senate in 2004. For this CARDINAL SIN of refusing to help the Osborne poltical career advancement, he MUST be defeated. < /sarcasm>

Why are you so opposed to fair "PRIMARY !!" elections.. My support of
Deborah Katz Pueschel Has nothing to do with Ander Crenshaw... Has the Republican Party become so elitest that is is a "SIN" as you put it to run against the incumbant... makes me want to go Libertarian.. but as I have stated numerous times in the past the best way to "fix" the Republican Party is from the inside.. and my support for Deborah Katz Pueschel is a step in that direction..

Who are you supporting if you dont mind me asking?

Also did I mention that Ander could NOT qualify by petition.. this speaks VOLUMES as to how inaccessable he has made himself to his constituents... I hope this trend does not continue should he win re-election..
Also did I mention that Deborah (NOT ANDER) recieved the endorcement from the Veterns Voting Bloc... despite the fact that Ander has had NUMEROUS oportunities to earn their support but simply failed to do so... this should be of real importance to the huge military community in the 4th District..

Also did I mention that Ander could NOT qualify by petition.. this speaks VOLUMES as to how inaccessable he has made himself to his constituents... No. It means he has better things to do (such as working on legislation) than to spend time gathering petitions. And, believe me, gathering petitions is NO toughie.
Also did I mention that Deborah (NOT ANDER) recieved the endorcement from the Veterns Voting Bloc...
You mean the "GIANT" Veterans Voting Block? I just went to their WELCOME PAGE and the # of visitors that have gone there according to the LED counter on their page is.... 00000001. When don't you click on to that web page and make it a grand total of 00000002.

Who are you supporting if you dont mind me asking?Well I looked at my card, and it says I am in the 6th district, which was Cliff Stearns and I guess still is. That being the case, I will happily support an outspoken conservative like Stearns.
In the case of your district, I would look into Crenshaw's positions, and make up my mind if he is someone to support, or work against, recognizing the odds against winning. Another possibility is that, all things considered, it would be a better use of resources to work on another campaign, where I would have a better chance of having an effect.

If you notice their counter appears to be not functioning properly.. however I think most of the Veterans on this forum are well aware of the significance of this endorcement..

I am not working AGAINST Mr. Crenshaw, in any way we are talking about a PRIMARY election here.... I will support the candidate that is successful in the PRIMARY.. in this case the only opponent in the General election will be a write-in (GREENPEACE) Candidate..
This will be an interesting race due to the fact that district has changed so drastically.. I think Deborah has a very good chance of winning this seat,, and I will do what I can to help here..

I just viewed her web site. I am in District 4.(Duval County) Could you clarify for me...did she participate in an illegal PATCO strike and get fired by Reagan? Why are there so many references to lawsuits?
To: davidosborne
in this case the only opponent in the General election will be a write-in (GREENPEACE) Candidate.Well, in that case you have the luxury of a situation with no real possibility of having a bad congresscritter. Congratulations! In that case, any prudent campaigning would be appropriate.
To: Dutchgirl
The only two lawsuits outlined in her bio are as follows:
I respect the fact that she is strong leader and will fight for what she thinks is right.. even if its "unpopular"... she will NOT compromise the principles that she believes in just to got "party line".. we need 435 Representatives just like her....
Katz v. Dole 709 F. 2d251 (4th Cir/1983) landmark decision - sexual harassment featured in numerous publications, law reviews and court decisions including Supreme Court-
Pueschel v. Slater (No.98-1864/ Supreme Court)- Denied a Writ of Certiorari - Case relating to non-accommodations
To: Dutchgirl
As to the illegal strike.. I don't know anything about that.. She is very open and honest.. and I am sure you can call her, and she will answer any of your questions...
I have tried calling Ander Crenshaw several times, and have yet to recieve a return call... Ander runs to the "middle of the road" on the "controversial" issues, and I have a problem with that... although he has a conservative record, and will most likele vote the way I would.. I would rather someone take the initiative to state their opinion and be a little more forthright (Like Deborah Katz Pueschel)...
If you want me to ask her about it I will.. but I think it would be great for you to talk to her personally and post a comment here on what you found out...

David
