There are studies showing the error in what you are saying but I am so sorry that I cannot find that data right now. I was trying to satisfy my own mind at the time I read it. It did not occur to me that I might like to show that to you. The short of it is that armed citizens shoot well and cops do NOT. Another fallacy is with handgun wound effectiveness. The first shot or occasionally the second causes adequate wounding but because it takes time for the effect there is time for additional superfluous shots. Rifle rounds faster than 2300 FPS work differently, but handgun rounds just cannot deliver that much energy. So if you have 17 shots then by all means use them, but if you have five use them. Please correct me with my thanks and remember that a gunfight is more fight than gun!

I practice at the range to click the safety off as I pull it from the holdster. It’s became automatic but I understand exactly what your saying. I love glock and have never had a issue of it accidentally going off. But was actually afraid in a high stress situation that I may grab it to pull it and give my self a new butt crack. Or something catching or snagging the trigger although I have never heard of a story of that happening.

I’m gonna be the outlier here, but I carry a Taurus G2C. Hundreds of rounds through it,no malfunctions, 12+1 capacity. Small, thin, plenty of aftermarket stuff for it.

CZ82 version with the best production trigger of its day and a twelve round magazine with d or s action so you can carry it chambered. Most folks don’t realize that to let the hammer down on a chambered round hold the hammer, pull the trigger then let the hammer go forward just a bit when the trigger is back to the front of the trigger guard and the hammer cannot hit the primer of the chambered round. Its not a decocking lever but it works for one.

You can’t make a machine that could go that fast.

Cops often SUCK at disciplined shooting. This was a SWAT unit:

71 shots fired in less than 7 seconds. IIRC, they put rounds thru 5 homes....

If you don’t have some regrets, you’re not a gun guy.

The g43 worked and went bang when the trigger was pulled but I always liked the Browning Hi-Power for 9 mm. It just feels right. The P365 also feels right in my hand, I was shocked. Like you, it is the only plastic gun that feel right to me.
