A lot of people here seem to be looking for stuff to criticize for the simple sake of criticizing. They don’t realize that they are diluting the message.

As a retired officer, I have to show my ID when entering a military base. The uniformed gate guards return my ID and salute me. No damned way do I refuse (as a civilian) to salute that guard.

The entire Marxist’s mob only needs the military to protect their sorry @$$e$. They don’t care about the military. They haven’t since Jimuh Karter got selected.
To be fair, she is not the Commander in Chief (not yet, anyway) and has no more business saluting a member of the military than I do.
Hopefully she acknowledges their existence, unlike certain other Dems of the recent past.

The presidents after him continued it, even though some of them (like Clinton) despised people in uniform.

If a president is ex-military, I think its quite clear why he would not. They know the diferences between cvilian and military.
In any case its his deliberate choice not to do so.
