A recent IBD/TIPP poll found something that appears to confirm the idea that there are lots of Trump supporters out there who won’t admit it to pollsters.
“Overall, 20% of registered voters say they’re uncomfortable revealing their preferred candidate, but that rises to 28% among independents,” it found.
That’s a shockingly high number and one that should worry anybody who expects Trump to get trounced in November.
Think about it: Which candidate are people likely to be uncomfortable revealing their preference for? The candidate who is being heralded as Mr. Empathy and the savior of the nation? Or the candidate who is universally described – in the press anyway – as a racist, xenophobic, dictatorial, dangerous lunatic?
Biden’s supporters have no reason to fear revealing their preference because they don’t have to fear being shamed or hounded or booed or yelled at.
It also found that among registered independents, “24% say they agree with Trump on some issues but are reluctant to admit that in public.”...

In a close election, these voters could tip the balance.
And as always, voter turnout is key. Is there great enthusiasm among black Democrats to vote for Kamala ?
Conducting political polling should be federally outlawed with a minimum 5 year prison sentence if caught doing it....no chance for parole of course.
And damn right we'll be at the polling place rather than mailing a "lost vote".

I participate in only ONE POLL, on Election Day every time it is held, local, state or Federal. I am at my proper polling place bright and early, I have picture ID and I am smiling and cheerful. This is a RIGHT my forbearers shed blood for, that I can make PEACEFUL votes on our mutual governance. I vote ONCE and only once even though I know that there are others who are happy to vote multiple times and official who disregard their US Constitution Pledge to gain power!
I am not shy. I don’t talk to any pollsters. Screw them.

BTW, in regards to surveys, don’t do it backwards. More voters go for the perceived winner more than many of us realize. Warm up the bandwagon approach. Show your preference for President Trump in surveys!

Pro-Democrat voters have no reason to fear violence. One sees some such bumper stickers.
It is quite likely that the cars with no bumper stickers belong to Trump supporters.
In 2016, I had a huge pro-Trump flag waving from my car. Not today! It's too dangerous! But nobody supports Trump more strongly than I do!
We have a landline and get 2-3 surveys a week. I’m a college educated 28 year old female black Democrat voting Republican for the first time in my life.
I’m not shy - it’s none of their dang business who I vote for.
