A wall of "Portland Moms" shields rioters from Federal forces in downtown Portland:
President Donald Trump deployed federal police to Portland to quell six weeks of protests. He has achieved the opposite effect.
The crowds gathering outside downtown courthouses on July 18 and 19 were as large as any Portland has seen in the past month. The crowd also appeared significantly older than at any previous demonstration.
That's in no small part because reports of aggressive tactics by federal officers—including shooting a protester in the face with a munition, detaining people in rental vans, and tear gassing a county commissioner—have galvanized residents of this city to confront what they see as a military occupation.
Edie, a Portland mother expecting a grandchild, said the sight of federal police using tear gas on moms July 18 outraged her. (She declined to give her last name.)
"The wall of moms were in white yesterday, and they were tear gassed and shoved," she said. "So we came in yellow today. and we're alongside the fence telling them: 'Feds go home, the moms are here.'
Edie continued: "The more the police use war crimes, crimes against humanity, anti-democratic [actions], having police take over the three branches of government—legislative, executive and judicial—and prevent the freedom of press, that makes people who have never come out before get angry. We moms say, 'You're not gonna hurt our kids.'"
"Feds have succeeded in turning #portlandprotests mainstream. a friend from my daughter's school cohort facebooked about joining the "wall of moms" tonight", writes Portland based writer Tim Dickinson.
Another misleading series of closeup photographs intended to imply a large crowd of people when there simply is not. I see only a small group of women wearing yellow orange shirts taken from a low angle intended to mislead as to how small a number there really are “guarding” the rioters there.

If Trump had done nothing, they would have trashed him for that. I now hope portland burns to the ground and becomes a gigantic trash heap. Their choice, not mine.

This is all horse manure and Oregon demonrat propaganda. Not all of them are Oregonians and many are teachers who don’t want to work. They want schools shut down but they still want to be paid to do nothing. They want our tax money for closed schools.

That represents 10% of Oregon. Those women are just radicals.

The fact is, these riots are about one thing: The lockdown. People with nothing to do and their normal hangouts are closed down.

They had dispersed tear gas. The protestor was trying to throw the canister back at the LEOs. Then pow! Right in the kisser.
Exactly. I have two cousins in Portland, both in their 40’s, both white, one female, one male and both left wing idiots. Brought up in a middle class household who now hate themselves for being white. People like them will be the death of this country.

They look a little old to still be “mom’s”. Yeah, I know, you never stop being one, but these women should/could be grandmas. Meanwhile, where is the “dad” counterpart? Why are these left-wing groups always a bunch of old white women? There’s one a few blocks away who stands on a street corner every morning with her “Black Lives Matter” sign. I’d guess she is between 60 and 65. I suppose she’s living her “interesting and exciting” life or something.
