What is Rush dangerously close to saying?

Posted on 03/31/2020 9:56:48 AM PDT by BuckeyeGOP

If anyone is listening to Rush today? He keeps stopping himself during his thoughts about what's going on with our country.... and says..."I have to stop, I'm getting dangerously close to saying something..."

He clearly is absolutely flustered and shocked how easily this country has been shut down. He has said several times that this can't continue, and he's right.

I suspect he is stopping himself short from putting forth the idea that it's time for Americans to stand up in defiance of all these shutdown orders. He just doesn't want civil unrest pinned on him.

But it’s a bit unlike him then to criticize Pelosi et al., for telling people to go about their normal lives. (I’m sorry he did this.)

Somebody needs to.

It should be pointed out often until people get it.

What if the virus is not supposed to accomplish their wet dream of reducing the population because the vaccine is the real weapon. Just kidding, ha, ha.

I've thought that and I'm not kidding.

I think that Rush suspects that the news media, dishonest officials, academics, and MDs, and the Democrats ginned up the coronavirus panic as a way to wreck the Trump economy. That may well be so to a degree, with it being not so much a conspiracy as an ad hoc collaboration, much in the way that, without quite planning to do so, excited eight year old kids at summer camp will hear a noise in the woods at night and then flee in terror after convincing themselves that they saw Bigfoot and that he is after them.

My little area of Texas is the same. Two cases in our county.

Is this a bad time to mention we’ve been hunkered down to protect my 91 year old mom since 2/3?

“I have noticed that the hardest hit states went for Hillary.”

Pretty much everyone has noticed that but may be reluctant to say it. That’s true especially when looking at the county 2016 election map and the virus map side by side. I chalk it up to people being dirty and living on top of each other. Those two issues add up to big problems.

We were practicing basketball in junior high and we had a fire drill. There was a fairly mild-mannered guy standing there outside the gym and one of the BMOC’s pants him and he was left with nothing but a jock strap. The only problem was that the cheerleaders were standing next to him and saw the whole thing. He chased the BMOC around the grounds for several minutes but never caught him. BMOC’s are naturally the fastest guys in school.

Kudos! I am doing much the same. I can still pay my bills and I will even though my mortgage company is allowing a deferral.

I’m not sure how all of this will play out and I am concerned for people who will be hit with a financial hardship over this. So far, we are okay here. But, I don’t think we can hold out for an extended period. My employer will eventually have to make some tough decisions even though we do not see a lot of cases of the virus here.

IMO, the murder of unborn children is being “essential” is being shoved front and center for a reason.

I am not one to see signs anywhere; however, abortion is now in plain view with its death toll far outstripping the totals of the virus world-wide. If a person believes in God he/she may believe there is a spiritual correlation.

its funny though how people react.....you say you have diabetes and heart trouble and your mom is elderly...and you're afraid and wish the country to stay locked down...

I too am diabetic, have been on bp meds for a dozen yrs if not more, not thin.....

but I don't worry about myself...I work in a hospital on a floor with covid patients afterall (not with them, but on the same floor)....

I worry about this destroying my adult childrens lives....which it is doing....

pay if forward....think about the future, not just yourself....

this virus is real...I've seen it...but the hysteria is just insane....we need to return to sensible policy, not policy by hysteria...

“In my county on March 13th we had ZERO cases. Today March 30th (17 days later) we have SEVENTY-SEVEN.”

It’s possible you had 77 on March 13 but you just weren’t aware of it. That’s why in every briefing they say that as more testing is done the number of cases will go up. Not because they actually “go up”, it’s just that they’re known and can be quantified.

I’m aware of that.

I don’t think you have any evidence that they are currently doing anything other than acting as doctors.

You can assign whatever motivations you want to them. I haven’t assigned them any other motivation than doctor at this time.

I did not hear that part, I don’t think.

I get where Rush is coming from on this being dangerous to the economy and, by extension, the country. I get that. This is real darn serious.

I do not know what to do about that though.

Prequel keeps showing up in my ‘evaluation’ of this mess. Maybe a 3 phase attack, not unlike “The third one on a match” scenario.
