He could indeed. And I’m hoping he does. Get the idiot Feds out of the picture as much as possible as fast as possible.

Know what? It has really helped my old buddies in the logging business back home.

Problem is..the weather isnt helping since the spring thaw is on.

Jeff told me that he cant get enough wood to the pulp mills fast enough. And he has over 4 million in equipment loans.

Business is GOOOOOD!

“Keep buying that toilet paper folks!” “Roll it off buy the yard!”

I could list the pulp mills that have closed down that “I” myself, used to ship to that the eco SOBs closed down. But now its gettin even time with them. Over 10 mills.

Scott paper-both Marinette WI and Oconto Falls WI. Charmin, Niagara Paper, Manistique Paper, Munising MI, Brokaw, Peshtigo, Med Tech, Ontonogan MI, Procter and Gamble in Green Bay WI, Whiting Pulp mill, Northern tissue. To name a few off the top of my head.

Just back from Meijer (regional Midwestern chain) in N. Indiana. Shelves of TP completely bare. Holes in frozen foods, coffee, pasta and sauce, flour and milk. They were also running a 10 for $10 sale on frozen veggies ... but the others seemed to be due to demand. The most popular brands were gone. The “meh” stuff like off brand or organic, still hanging around. More people were coming in all the time. Reminded me of Christmas. Shaking my head ... but I bought into the silliness and bought an extra pound of coffee.

I usually get the ones from Costco. My wife uses then in soup in a pinch. And...when we run out of dog food. The GSD loves it.

Packed in the USA, says mine. Doesn’t say where they were raised.

I just got an alert from Publix that said it would close every evening at 8. They need to do a thorough cleaning and restock shelves.
My daughter and her family live on a private school campus during the school year. The kids are on break and not coming back until, hopefully mid April so, my daughter was told that the school has enough food for 2 months and enough paper goods for more than a year. Her husband was just tested for the virus yesterday as he came down with a dry, hacking cough. When they heard of all the places he’s traveled it was a no brainer for the test. We’re still waiting for the results.

First of all most dollar-type stores stock food stuffs from China, in the Johnson County, KS area.

I normally do not shop at either of those stores unless I’m purchasing for kids stuff to donate to VBS or Christmas boxes for Franklin Graham’s gifts to children worldwide, but would never purchase anything edible for humans nor pets!

The two local grocery stores in NE Johnson County, KS stores I visited in the past two days mid day yesterday and on Thursday, had a brisker than normal shoppers, for early afternoon.

I had no problem obtaining everything on my list but toilet paper shelves slim with tags stating the paper products were “limited to two per customer,” and almost almost everyone checking out had toilet paper in their baskets.

The butcher working behind the counter mentioned that on Thursday, his department had sold double the amount as usual, in fact, he said he thought the store had sales at least twice totals as usual for this time of year.

Last night, I was looking around Dollar Tree and the soap aisle was empty. We are going to Publix later today, so I’ll give you a report.

“My wife had a Kroger coupon from months ago and stashed a boatload of tp and paper towel as a matter of frugality. Glad she did that.”

_______

People should be thankful for those who were prepared ahead of time. We weren’t out there grabbing dwindling supplies off the shelves.

A store that sells only goods produced in-state isn’t likely to last a full year unless it caters solely to rich

Only cheap, generic English muffins are available, and the raisin or whole wheat ones. The regular ones made by Thomas are unavailable that I could find.

Well, actually, this won’t help them much.

It’s not like anyone will be eating any more food than normal. It’s just that we may not be eating out as much.

Surely, more fresh food than normal will go bad, as people sneak away to drive-throughs and let perishables spoil. But the volume of this won’t greatly help farmers.

Are you and you loved ones promising to eat 50% - 100% more food than you’ve ever had before? Why, or why not?

“this is evidence on why we should not be so dependent on China for everything.”

why? because china makes all of the food that is sold out at HT because panicked fools are pointlessly hoarding it? as i understand it, china buys food FROM us, not vice versa, and to the tune of at least $50 billion dollars a year’s worth ...

this looks to me like nothing more than idiots panicked by the fake stream enemedia into running around like chickens with their heads cut off and being extremely anti-social by greedy hoarding ... my guess is that they’re mostly leftist who usually chant “for the greater good” until they’re panicked by the lies and propaganda of the leftist media and then “for the greater good” suddenly becomes “all hands for themselves” ...

btw, here on the front range of Colorado, i went grocery shopping Friday afternoon at King Soopers, a division of Kroger like HT, and the store was well-stocked except for the usual, namely paper towels, hand wipes and hand sanitizer ...

perhaps we’re a hardier bunch here in the west than the pussies in NC ...

You’re wrong about them being mostly leftists and I wish you weren’t.

I cannot BELIEVE the selfishness, cowardice and panic I am seeing almost everywhere.

Too many on the right are as soft and selfish as those on the left these days.

Generations of Americans who have had it too easy and are TERRIFIED of 6 hours without food.

My mother is 87 and she says “we were all poor back then. We did without all the time so this wouldn’t have been anything to go crazy about”

She’s right.

The greatest generation is gone.

The fearful, spoiled generations are here.

BTW, yours was the POST OF THE DAY.
