I suspect Nadler’s wife is going to “get sick” again.

Nadler’s wife. A fate I wouldn’t wish on my worse enemy.

Didn’t know you could put sitting members of the House on a legal team. Of course, I have no idea what Clinton did

Just do it, and defy Schiff for brains, to try and stop them.

To my less than profound legal mind, this team sounds like overkill for the impeachment process. I think that it may be directed at a much larger job. What about the previously announced Sekulow/Philbin/Cipollone/Starr/Dershowitz/Ray/Bondi/Raskin/Purpura Team? Are they still on the team, or were they A headfake? Or does President Trump have some housecleaning to do in addition to the Impeachment?

I kinda wish Pence would gracefully bow out and let her run as VP 2020. Face it, as nice a guy he may be but Pence will never be able to win the presidency. She could get a lot of name recognition from the trial and then bring a lot to the campaign, especially for the female vote. Then she could actually win in 2024.

Stefanik is against a lot of Trumps policies...

“She voted against the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, joining five other New York Republican representatives.[36] Her primary reason for voting “no” was due to the state and local tax deduction”

“Stefanik criticized President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris climate agreement, saying the decision was “misguided” and “harms the ongoing effort to fight climate change while also isolating us from our allies.”[41]

In January 2017, Stefanik joined the Bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus, an apparent indication of “a moderate stance on climate change issues.”[42]”

“Stefanik opposed Trump’s 2017 executive order imposing a temporary ban on travel and immigration to the United States by nationals of seven Muslim-majority countries.[58]

On March 26, 2019, Stefanik was one of fourteen Republicans to vote with all House Democrats to override President Trump’s veto of a measure unwinding the latter’s declaration of a national emergency at the southern border.[61]”

“After the Federal Communications Commission decided to repeal Obama-era net neutrality in December 2017, Stefanik urged her congressional colleagues to pass legislation restoring the policy.[69]”

“In the 116th Congress, Stefanik was one of eight Republicans to vote in favor of the Equality Act.[72][73] (LGBTQRS agenda)”

I’m glad someone else is aware of her RINO personality. I know POTUS likely knows, too, so I don’t know why she’s there. Maybe it’s to test her or set her up. I don’t trust her one bit.

My eyes hurt from rolling them at some of the comments on this thread.

This is so stupid, no nice way to put it. Good looks are, have always been, and always will be a tremendous asset! This is a immutable fact and if you are plain or just plain ugly you are going to have to work that much harder to prosper. Conservatives except human nature as it is and not try to remake it. As Rush has always said, feminism was established to allow unattractive woman easier access to the mainstream of popular culture.

Don’t get giddy yet!

Hopefully nothing in my post came across as "giddy". I'm not giddy about any of this mess.

Other than the hope that these folks will do a pretty good job, the only other positive out of this is that Republican Reps get to face their Dim counterparts on a more level field, and maybe get the last laugh by crushing Schiff and Pelosi's dreams (typed in a very much ungiddy manner).

Mr. Collins IS a lawyer. He’s also a great preacher and a member of our church.

The reason she is there is because she was a standout performer in the House hearings. So much so she received considerable flak from Democorats. Here other positions are totally superseded by that. I find this line of attack on her at this moment bizarre, actually.

This mass joining of the legal defense team may mean they will be allowing witness's. In that case, I want to jump on the band wagon. The whistle blower, Adam Schiff, Hunter Biden. verses John Bolton. Heck in that case subpoena Crowd strike, and get all the DNC computer files. It's on.

If you read the rules for the trial, any witness must first give a deposition -- no deposition, no witness.

This is where the real action is going to take place, and it will get really testy in those rooms. The RATs will object to every question, and there will be constant appeal to higher authority.

I am hoping the depositions will be released after the trial, and I am certain that large sections will be leaked.

“With this type of system there won’t be much Jordan, and Meadows ripping the Dems a new one!!!!” Yep. A question will be asked and the dems will lie and spin and no one will be able to verbally call them out on it with the exceptions of followup questions.

this is disheartening! :-((

Not so. The Senators have to ask questions thru the Chief Justice, not the House Managers or Defenders. They get to speak.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since the Senate gets to set the rules , can this rule be changed? I know I am showing my ignorance but just wondering. I am so disheartened to realize that this will not give the Republican Senate the same opportunity to " in your face" like the Dems did in Congress!
exactly WHY I would not want her to be on the ticket as VP for 2020.
I think to encourage the Evangelical surge in the 2020 vote President Trump needs to leave the ticket as is.......
That’s fine, but it’s also worth noting the other side of her. I hope she does a great job eviscerating the Rats.
But some on this site are going orgasmic over her. And if you pine for a future female conservative “star”, Debbie Lesko is a much more solid conservative.
