President Trump said it is "absolutely fine" for Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg to stand on the campaign stage with his husband.
"I think that’s something that perhaps some people will have a problem with. I have no problem with it whatsoever. I think it’s good," the president told FNC's Steve Hilton.

Well I do and I think it’s a failure on Trumps behalf.

That’s EXACTLY what convinced me that this was all a sham, designed to get Trump to say something that he and the party overall would later regret. Pence barely exists politically and hasn’t said jack about Butterfingers...so why did Butterfingers bring up Pence? Answer - nothing else was working, so why not try?
The question is, Why is Pete Buttigieg’s husband the only husband of a Democratic presidential candidate willing to join his wife on stage?
Where is Mr. Pocahontas? Where is the husband of Kamala Harris? Or of Kirsten Gillibrand? Or Amy Klobuchar?
One gets the impression that those husbands don’t like their wives’ company very much. In fact, it’s reasonable to assume that those husbands went out of their way to encourage their wives to run for president so that they could get them out of the house for a few years.

I guess my position is if Trump was gay I’d still want him as president.

Not true. The leader of the Stonewall Veterans encouraged all members to vote for Trump in 2016 because Hillary was evil. My co-worker, a retired Marine, and his partner were both fervent Trump supporters. The leader of Walk Away is gay.

So, you know of a few gay guys who are comfortable in their own skins. I wish more gays were like that. I actually know a couple of guys like that. Unfortunately, the vast majority are not. One who is married like Buttigieg and who wants kids with his “husband” is gay above all else.
Agreed. Besides, it’s a moot point. Mayor Pete isn’t getting anywhere near the nomination this go round. He may be auditioning for 2024, however.
