Thanks.
I may not have read that table correctly, in which case I might have to learn to swim.
..Sunday, May 17, 2019, in Omaha, Neb..
My son just got evacuated from Omaha.
We were up in the Carson Valley just south of Reno, NV this weekend. There is more snow in the Sierras than there has been for a number of years. They are worried that if Spring is early, there maybe flooding there.
Can I get a ride in your time machine?
(it's true...honest...would I kid you?)
Same in North Idaho. All-time record snowfalls in February...almost the entire seasonal average fell in one month. Lots of concern about the thaw starting now is going to lead to a lot of flooding. Lake Coeur d’Alene has a seawall by the town at the lake exit into the Spokane River. The city has to drop timbers into the permanently installed steel vertical channels to build the wall. Heard there is concern about flooding CdA and they might have to build the seawall.
We were very lucky here in Hitchcock County. Lots of high winds - 48 hours of non-stop 45-50 mph with 65-70 mph gusts - but not much snow, and a moderate amount of rain.
The Republican River appears at normal levels, so far.
We had wind damage to our garage, and some water damage to the entry of our house because of the wind-driven rain. I also had to jury rig makeshift baffle assemblies for the boiler and water heater exhaust ports, because the wind kept creating a back pressure that would shut down these gas-fired appliances. The wind was so loud we could barely sleep through it - and we are mostly below ground!
A lot of damage to throughout the state. There was a failed dam too
When the levee breaks, mama you got to move...
What a jerk! Nebraska is landlocked. They had over 55 snow and then it started melting rapidly plus huge rains! Almost the entire state is under water. Worst natural disaster there in a half century!
Educate yourself and check out some videos. It wont be easy unless you search because the national media doesnt care. Nebraska is flyover.
Livestock is trapped on islands made from flooded land. People displaced from homes. Entire towns UNDER WATER! Horses standing chest deep in cold water with incredible rapid currents. Cant get to them. Wagon loads of dead baby pigs. You have no idea!
Damns out all over. Levees out all over. 75,000 miles of river all flooding.
Youre a jerk! I grew up in Nebraska and only moved recently to Georgia. Im sick for my people there who are incredible strong stick. Shame on you!
>>>crowd gathers to watch residents make their way in and out of a flooded neighborhood Sunday, May 17, 2019, in Omaha, Neb<<<
Wow, we closed Escrow three weeks ago and didn’t even realize it. I guess the Buyers are wondering if we will ever move out.
There are so many videos I wish I could post but I cant on this antiquated system FR employs. Its unbelievable and I dont understand why someone in national media wont show it. And theyre not!
Im being kept abreast by my family and friends back home. Really they are simply not showing the scale of devastation!

All you need to Post are the links, not the Videos themselves.
Damn. Is that part of the reason why many B-52s are being deployed to Britain?
I have lived in Omaha for 38 years. Never seen anything like this. Fremont, Valley, anything west of 204th St in Elkhorn is basically inaccessible. It is so very sad, and so neglected by the national media.
Hoping POTUS comes to visit soon.
Many thousands do not have flood insurance, will be completely devastated financially.
Thank you. Many of them were sent to me on FB Messenger or are on my feed. Ill try to post them here.
I do apologize for my passion here to some extent but to be honest its really hitting me hard. So far from my homeland and thinking about these poor animals and stranded people. I am heartbroken.
I saw a picture inside someones kitchen filled with huge ice boulders. It looks like horror movie stuff.
I appreciate your help. Again, thank you.
Yeah, its really devastating. I cant wrap my brain around it. I almost feel guilty not being there. I love Omaha, its my home. Im planning to move back to Nebraska because I miss my family and friends so much.
You know if this was NYC or even one snowflake here in Georgia (they go nuts over one inch of snow, not kidding) it would be nonstop coverage.
Where are these heartless press people!?
My girlfriend lives in Fremont but works in Omaha. She cant get home. Im told private planes are flying people out of Fremont to Omaha. I think of stranded pets too home alone no food or water. No way to get to them.
Im so upset tonight I honestly cannot stop crying. I love Nebraska and its wonderful people. Stay safe.
