Speaking for myself, I understand - and already understood - Everything you wrote.

Now I expect you to acknowledge that there are persons who lurk here and seek for every opportunity to post nasty, vulgar comments.
Just yesteday, a newbie submitted a simple thank you for being given a place on this forum - and multiple... entities... posted nasty replies, including snide comments about blogging.
There was no blog involved. I could find no evidence that this new member even has a blog. There was no link; it was a simple message of gratitude.
I do not endorse banning on a site with the audacious name of Free Republic. However, I know for a fact that many have been banned for their political views on this site over the years. Yet recidivists like this are forever indulged, even lauded. (Sometimes, their more egregious replies are removed.)
You will say that you were just courteously explaining, but your lengthy reply was in truth condescending and avoided the point others, myself included, were making.
You lectured us, so I have responded by lecturing you.

Now, I wasn't commenting on the post, but to this post by old-ager:
I continue to fail to understand the complaints about bloggers that are not based on the content of the posts. It looks like these complaints are an FR _fad_. FR is supposed to be smarter than that.
Do you not acknowledge blog pimps are really posting excerpts here to get hits on their sites?
Note also I didn't say blogger. I said Blog pimps. Can you tell the difference?
And I resent you accusing me of lecturing ANYone. I was replying in a back and forth to ONE poster. Are you just offended because I didn't reply to you? Am I not also allowed to have an opinion? If I reply with more than a paragraph, is that too lengthy for you?
Now, if you have a problem with a certain FReeper with the initials HG, I'm not defending him at all. I do understand people having a problem with HG, but for goodness sakes, I was even thinking of him when I replied to old-ager!

IMHO, Matt, you are shining the spotlight of truth on the Deep State Overlords and their “program.”
They cannot, they must not, allow the spotlight of truth to be shined on them! Lest We the People awaken, rise up and cast them out of power!
That would be your Rule #4; Identify comrades, resistors and rivals, would it not?
One presumes that once identified, resistors and rivals would then be marginalized.
That would be Alinsky #13: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”
Since, as you point out, Twitter, Facebook, et al, are fully integrated into the Deep State Overlord Team, your voice (and others on OUR side) must be suppressed!
Please, don’ let them do that to you!
