Get Ready for the Coming Impeachment of Donald J. Trump

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Mueller is “closing in” – on what, no one seems able to say. – Last week was the week when Robert Mueller started “closing in”. That’s what everyone in our fake news media kept telling us, anyway, so it must be true, right? Well…ok.

Supposedly, if all the talking heads on CNN and MSNBC are to be believed – which they most certainly are not – the sentencing memo related to Michael Cohen and the court filing in Mueller’s case against Paul Manafort contain all sorts of damaging allegations related to President Donald Trump. They are, in fake media parlance, the smoking guns that, for the 10,457th time over the last 3 and a half years, spell the “beginning of the end for Donald Trump.”

All this impeachment giddiness had bug-eyed Adam Schiff talking about President trump serving prison time on “Face the Nation” and despicable Jerrold Nadler promising to shut down all investigation into Democrat wrongdoing during 2016 when he takes control of the House Judiciary Committee come January. It was like Democrat Party Mardi Gras all weekend.

The problem for the Democrats is, last week’s events don’t really mean what they want us all to believe they did. The Cohen sentencing memo, filed by the Justice Department’s Southern District of New York (SDNY), is all about campaign finance and playmates and porn stars and hush money supposedly paid to them during the 2016 campaign. The same attorneys in the SDNY who refused to prosecute Barack Obama for more than $2 million in illegal campaign contributions taken in by his 2012 campaign are now supposedly going to indict a sitting president for $280,000 in payments that can only be classified as “campaign contributions” via very tortured legal logic.

The SDNY attorneys face several problems here, chief among them being that Justice Department rules dictate that no sitting president can be indicted while he’s in office. D’oh!

Problem number two is that, even if these hush money payments can be classified as campaign contributions, the Candidate himself has the ability to contribute an unlimited amount of money to his own campaign. The U.S. Attorney suddenly concerned about the “sanctity” of campaign finance rules say he failed to report those “contributions,” which would be a technical violations supposedly committed by a candidate who did not even know they WERE contributions.

You’re going to send a sitting POTUS to jail for that? Really? Good luck with that.

Problem number three is that, if Donald Trump is re-elected to a second term, the 5-year statute of limitations on campaign finance violations will have expired in 2021, 3 years before he leaves office. Now, will the craven Democrats in the House of Representatives try to use the SDNY’s tortured logic as a reason to impeach President Trump? Sure, they will, but in doing so they will have to explain why this is an impeachable offense but Obama’s massive violations were not. Good luck with that, too.

The Manafort filing is just another Big Bag of Mueller Nothing, the kind of which we have seen in myriad leaks and filings and ham sandwich indictments from his office for more than 18 months now. Nothing about the “collusion” fantasy, nothing supporting any potential charge of obstruction of justice, nothing supporting anything remotely related to what Mueller was supposed to be looking into. But it did provide a lot of fodder for talking head panels on CNN and MSNBC to assassinate the President’s character and argue for impeachment, which is exactly what it was intended to do.

There is no doubt that President Trump is a man of low moral character, especially when it comes to his conduct in his married life. There is also no doubt that pretty much everyone who voted for Candidate Trump was well aware of this when they voted for him. After two full years of screaming first about their “Russia Collusion” fantasy and then about their “obstruction of justice” fantasy, the Democrats and our fake news media are going to try to force Mr. Trump from office because he might have, maybe, sort of, potentially violated campaign finance laws to cover up affairs.

Make no mistake about it, there will be impeachment hearings beginning early next year, for the simple reason that the Democrat Party stands for nothing else at the moment. The Party’s candidates did not campaign on any policy agenda this year, other than doing nothing more to change the failed Obamacare law and doing nothing to change our failed immigration system. The Democrats have always been really big on doubling down on abject failure, after all.

So, that’s what the next two years of American history are going to be – a long, painful slog in which the Democrats and their fake news media agents do pretty much nothing but try to reverse the results of the 2016 presidential election. There will be no major legislation passed through congress, which is fine with me, given that about 90% of the un-American legacy of Barack Obama has already been done away with in one form or another.

There will be no real budget bills, as the nation goes back to the decade of Harry Reid, in which the government was funded by an ongoing series of continuing resolutions. There will be no more tax cuts – or significant tax increases – not real efforts to reform immigration or healthcare or climate regulations or anything else at the federal level as the Democrat House and Republican Senate play a 24-month game of policy chicken and do little other than raise money for the 2020 campaign.

At some point – probably mid-to-late-2019 – after a seemingly endless series of nationally-televised impeachment hearings by multiple House committees chaired by despicable creeps like New York’s Jerrold Nadler, the Democrats in the House will successfully “impeach” President Trump in a party line vote. Some time after that, the Republicans in the Senate will refuse to remove the President from office, again on a purely party line vote.

It will be an instant replay of 1999, only with the party roles reversed. Then the election campaigns will gear up and dominate the rest of 2019 and all of 2020, as the voters decide who to punish for the two-year fiasco.

It’s key to remember that, after impeaching Bill Clinton in 1999, the Republican Party paid dearly at the polls in 2000, losing their six-year House majority in the process. With President Trump’s public approval ratings holding stubbornly firm at pretty high levels for a president at this point in his first term in office, the Democrats pursue this impeachment strategy at their own risk.

And pursue it they will. Because they are otherwise bankrupt as a Party.

That is all.

Compared to the rest of Washington, he’s a Saint.

The best defense is a good offense. If Trump’s payments to Stormy through Cohen were illegal campaign contributions, then the sexual harassment payments by congressmen were too.

And this helps the country how? Half of America are a bunch of sick idiots. Think it’s a game show.

Democrats are salivating for impeachment hearings. The Party stands for nothing at the moment:
their vaunted blue wave candidates had no policy agenda other than doing zilch about the Obamacare flop......
and doing nothing to change our failed immigration system.

As FReeper KNARF insightfully posted: I haven’t seen “the Democrat party” as a political arm in a long time.
All we’ve been subjected to is gauntlet after gauntlet thrown down.......

Democrats are an aggressive army challenging a peaceful nation....a nation they despise. Ruthless Democrats vote harvesters invaded peaceful people residing in: rest homes, hospitals, homeless shelters, tent cities, labor camps, prisons, jails, high schools, colleges, etc,

Democrats abandoned their role in the two-party system of checks and balances. Democrats have morphed into an invading army......trailed by a bunch of camp followers.

Vote-snatching Democrats’ are at their worst when they're losing.

When Republicans lose they graciously concede and the race is over.

When predatory Democrats lose, they mobilize the heavy artillery —— the heavy duty voter-fraud tanks-—
they roll over anyone standing in their way until their stinking rumps are in the seat.

How does that differ from the last two years?

Worse. Those bastards in Congress paid harassment settlements using the taxpayer’s money, then hid the payments from the public. Why? Because they didn’t want to disclose sensitive national secrets?

When will we impeach Trump? My question is when will we either invade NY or secede it?

There has to be a reset, and it may involve the deaths of millions. Natural law says this present course cannot continue much longer.

Adam "Schiff for Brains" reminds me of Marshall Applewhite Jr. of Heavens Gate Cult fame.

Should start addressing him as such.

One thing to keep in mind. Unlike Nixon (or even Bill Clinton) President Trump is a fighter. He does not use surrogates to fight his battles and he has no problem with getting down in the mud and taking the fight to his “enemies”.

So the Democrats have to ask themselves how far are they willing to go when they know President Trump will begin exposing all their dirty little secrets?

The difference is the average swing voter who just gets news from the MSM has no idea about Obama’s campaign violations and is only vaguely aware there was some issue or other with the Clintons. But the swing voter hears all the time that Trump conspired this and that.

The dems know that they will never prevail in court against Trump. They are just trying to keep the mud flowing in order to influence the next election. The real problem, though, is not the dems but rather the spineless GOP.

GO RIGHT AHEAD!!! Best gift they could give to Trump...

(CNN, December 20, 1998) -- In the wake of the House of Representatives' approval of two articles of impeachment, Bill Clinton's approval rating has jumped 10 points to 73 percent, the latest CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll shows.

That's not only an all-time high for Clinton, it also beats the highest approval rating President Ronald Reagan ever had.

...and unlike Clinton, Trump still gets another election!
