Maxine Waters’ Career May Be Finished — New Scandal Revealed

California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters is certainly no stranger to controversy and scandal. In fact, she wallows in it. Waters strikes me as someone who believes she is above the law and can get away with whatever she wants. It’s one of the reasons she is seen as one of the most corrupt politicians in Congress.

A new complaint has been filed against Waters and it and the new unfolding scandal surrounding the complaint has the potential to finish off her career. The complaint involves an obscure fundraising tactic that has raked in thousands of dollars from state politicians in exchange for being listed on her slate mailers. This go-around, it involves supporters of a former Los Angeles mayor defeated in the June gubernatorial primary.

A conservative watchdog group named the National Legal and Policy Center is the one who filed the complaint with the Federal Election Commission against Waters, her campaign and a pro-charter school group called Families and Teachers for Antonio Villaraigosa — which backed the former Democratic mayor of Los Angeles.

The details of the scandal are not juicy enough to get any attention.

This will go nowhere.

The real issue is how in the world does this loser have a home, live in Hancock Park, and not in her district, as required.

That and Al Sharpton’s failure to pay his taxes, with no IRS blow back is an outrage to the rest of us.

These assholes get away with everything because they are_________. (Fill in the blank).

As much as I would like to see Ms. Waters forcefully propelled into history, I would miss the entertainment provided by the Congressperson from California for the next two years.

Pretty soon, Nancy Pelosi should be thanking Maxine for saving America too.

The bottom line:The mailers also effectively provide a loophole to get around federal campaign contribution limits.

My voting precinct, which is part of Maxine Waters's district, was recently changed to vote by mail only. Anyone who waited until the last minute to vote was pretty much denied, as the best they could do was post a provisional ballot which would most likely never get counted.

The rationale was supposedly that there were too many people in the surrounding area to handle all of the votes, but I've been voting in the same location for years and the lines are never that long.

The district I'm in is fairly wealthy compared to the rest of Mad Maxine's district. Seems like a subtle form of voter suppression.

Don’t know that California requires residency in one’s district. In any case, the Democrat-controlled Congress won’t expel her, the current Congress can’t expel her—requires 2/3rd vote, if she were expelled, her district would overwhelmingly re-elect her. I suppose that if she were caught on camera robbing a bank, she might have some political problems (but she might get reelected from her jail cell) but for what is cited her—fund-raising shenanigans—she’s untouchable.

They must have forgotten Waters is a woman and black. End of story.
