CNN Analyst Calls for Briefing Boycott After Jim Acosta’s WH Pass Revoked
Breitbart News ^ | 11-7-2018 | Joshua Caplan

CNN national security and legal analyst Susan Hennessey is calling on White House press corp members to boycott future briefings after Jim Acosta, the network’s chief White House correspondent, had his press credentials revoked Wednesday evening. The suspension comes after a heated confrontation earlier between President Donald Trump and Acosta during a news conference.

Reacting to reports of Acosta’s credentials being revoked, a furious Hennessey tweeted: “This is a disgraceful and unacceptable attack on a free and independent press. The rest of the White House Press Corp should stand with their colleague @Acosta and refused to participate in any briefing until this appalling decision is reversed.”

The sparring between the pair occurred after Acosta asked President Trump about the caravan of migrants heading from Latin America to the southern U.S. border. When Acosta attempted to pose a followup question, President Trump said, “That’s enough” and a White House aide unsuccessfully tried to remove the microphone from Acosta’s hand.

“Honestly, I think you should let me run the country, you run CNN, and if you did it well, your ratings would be much better. Okay, that’s enough,” the president told Acosta after a brief exchange regarding the caravan.

Acosta, still refusing to allow other reporters to pose questions, then asked the president for his thoughts on special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe. “I will tell you what, CNN should be ashamed of itself having you working for them–you are a rude, terrible person, you shouldn’t be working for CNN,” President Trump told the CNN reporter. “You’re a very rude person, the way you treat Sarah Huckabee is horrible, and the way you treat other people are horrible, you shouldn’t treat people that way.”

Let's see if other WH press corp would stand with Jim. If the whole WH press corp go along with this, Trump then could invite other news outlets to hold press briefings without this current corp. No Big Loss for Trump. And the rest of America.

Freaks are doubling down.

Acosta ought to have said he was sorry to the intern after the press conference.

He and CNN keep digging.

We can only HOPE the rest of the WH Press Corps will do a “walkout” to “support” the thug Acosta.

How refreshing would it be to open the floor to non-traditional press corps members who usually do not get a chance to ask questions.

Of course they will. They’re deranged leftists. Propagandists for the DNC and our corrupt stasi state. We saw that idiot NBC guy come to the defense of Acosta-lot at the briefing.

"CNN national security and legal analyst Susan Hennessey is calling on White House press corp members to boycott future briefings....."

Good luck with that one!! We could only hope!

Any idea of how many dozens, no hundreds of independent reporters would LOVE to have a seat at the WH press briefings but can not because of capacity limits? And I am betting they would have better manners as well.

Jim Accosta is guilty of simple assault: touching with intent the arm of the WH staffer when she was directed to take the mic by the President and he was physically striking her arm with his. IF this POS from CNN wants to ignore that she is just gutter trash like most of the MSM.

If the rest of the press joins in a boycott the President should just say fine and hold no more press or availabities. No excuse for the rudeness and refusing to relinquish the mic was beyond the line. Free press is one thing, rude press is something altogether different. If they want to stick together and promote unacceptable behavior then they aren’t needed.
