Taylor Swift’s Strike Against Marsha Blackburn FAILS In The Face Of GOP’s Kavanaugh Momentum
redstate.com ^ | October 9, 2018 | Brandon Morse

When singer/songwriter Taylor Swift broke her political silence to denounce Tennessee Republican Taylor Swift with all the “wokeness” you’d expect from an ill-informed Hollywood SJW, I feared that Swift’s tribal driven brand would motivate young Democratic voters.

While I’m still not 100 percent convinced that at least some effect won’t take place, it would appear that Blackburn is enjoying a hefty lead over Democratic challenger, former Governor Phil Bredesen thanks to the momentum generated by the successful confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.

According to the Washington Examiner, Blackburn is experiencing a growth in support after the Kavanaugh circus concluded:

Blackburn cruised past Bredesen in two public opinion polls conducted at the apex of the Kavanaugh controversy. The fresh data suggests the episode has nationalized the Tennessee contest and led Republicans open to voting for the Democrat to retreat to their partisan bunkers. In one survey, Blackburn topped Bredesen by 8 percentage points; in another, she was in front by 5 points.

Keep in mind that this is significant, given the fact that Blackburn doesn’t have the same name recognition in Tennessee as Bredesen, who has been serving in Tennesee’s political circles for years.

This increase is helped by the momentum generated by the GOP thanks to Republicans winning the fight against gross tactics from the Democratic party to stop Kavanaugh from taking his seat on the Supreme Court. Several examples have shown that Republicans are seeing an increase in support in general while support for Democrats has been falling.

Two examples, in particular, are Republican challenger Josh Hawley now leading Democrat incumbent Claire McCaskill in Missouri, and Republican incumbent Ted Cruz now pulling ahead of Democratic challenger Beto O’Rourke after months of it being a dangerously close race.

This is great news for Republicans who were up to suffer from the natural law of undulation that takes place in politics, and who may keep a few more seats than originally thought.

As it stands, even a mega-star can’t overcome the momentum generated by the GOP’s Kavanaugh win, and I’ve never been more happy to be wrong.

It must be pretty bad when the Left is reduced to hoping a TS endorsement will pay off.

Amazing fake news spin now that it is Swift rather than the Kavanaugh circus creating the uptick in voter registration this past week.

The media manipulators are always at work.

To be fair, the polling was done before the announcement but the results posted after. That said, I really doubt her endorsement will matter.

TS has made the worst business decision in her life.

Doubtful...Tay-tay will be performing tonight at the AMA's where I'm sure she'll get a very warm reception.

There are also some independent PAC’s that are running anti-Bedesen radio ads. Prob TV too, but I’m unplugged.

One of them has Bredesen saying “the wall is not the right solution”.

Another talks about the Opiod epidemic expanding under Bredesen while he owns large investments in the pharmaceuticals manufacturing those drugs.

I can’t imagine anyone voting for someone based off what a teenybopper said. I don’t understand why the right is worried about it either.

Wait just a minute... Taylor Swift is supporting the current Governor Phil Bredesen over Marsha Blackburn? So, the SJW, who hate old white men, and are supporters of women are supporting an older white man over a woman??? Does she realize how stupid and illogical that is? Well, the rest of do!! Good luck TS with your stupid ideology.

People: she is as lovely as she is sexy. Don’t let it turn you off. She’s not screwed up like all the others. Blackburn will meet with her after the election and they will talk. Everything will be classy. Trump likes her 25% less. Isn’t that perfect?

She used to date a Kenedy, didn’t she or so I thought. That explains a lot.

Yeah, that was what I was wondering.

Candace Owens is going to actively help Marsha Blackburn, so on the celebrity fringes it will be a dumb blonde SJW against a highly articulate black conservative.

I like that matchup.

In four weeks, this election will be over.

But half of her fans will never forget. She has driven them away.

What is particularly sweet is that she is catching flak from the SJW Left because Breseden, in his desperation, said he would have voted for Kavanaugh. (Not true, of course. Desperate people lie about stuff, a lot)

So it looks like TS managed to piss off everybody, in one fell swoop!

She should do a video...

When her attendance and revenues are down....

And blame it on her handlers and the lefty's she hangs with.....

It might go something like this...

"Ooh, look what you made me do Look what you made me do"

Which is a rip off of "My hump my hump my hump my lovely lady lumps"

Lol! I'm sorry I can't take her serious!
