Following reports that there are recordings of Donald Trump using racial slurs on “The Apprentice,” a 2005 radio interview with Howard Stern has resurfaced where Trump proposed setting “nine blacks against nine whites” on the show.
“There was a concept thrown out by some person… nine blacks against nine whites,” Trump said on “The Howard Stern Show.”
“And it would be nine blacks against nine whites, all highly educated, very smart, strong, beautiful people right?” he continued, asking Stern if he liked the idea, who responded “yes.” When Trump asked co-host Robin Quivers her thoughts, she said: “Well I think you’re going to have a riot.”
“It would be the highest rated show on television,” Trump said in response.
Stern then asked about the exact skin tone of the contestants, and Trump said there would be an “assortment.”
“Wouldn’t that set off a racial war in this country?” Stern asked.
Trump said he didn’t think so.
“See, actually I don’t think it would. I think that it would be handled very beautifully by me,” he said.
Former “The Apprentice” contestant Omarosa Manigault Newman has said in recent days that there is a recording of Trump using racial slurs during a taping of the show. Manigault Newman has told at least three White House aides about the recording, which she says was played for her by former contestant Troy McClain, according to the Huffington Post. Trump has denied the reports.
