Gender and Sex: They Are NOT Interchangeable - Don't Allow Leftists to Define Terms

Your genitals determine your biological SEX -- which is male or female. What determines gender [masculine, feminine, neutral] is culture. So in some cultures, a skirt is feminine while in others it is masculine.

#YouMightBeALiberal if the Divine was fallible in making you, but you are infallible in what you think you should be.

Sex is biological and gender is cultural. There is no such thing, for example, as "neutral sex" -- even if you get your male junk cut off. Then you are an emasculated male.

The Left tries to make them interchangeable to so they can blur the lines between Nature and culture. And their ultimate purpose in doing so is to erode our way of life. If Nature is not obeyed, we perish.

"...sex and gender have always meant the same thing."

No, they have not. No, they do not -- and I will not concede that to the Left any more than I would that an AR-15 is an assault weapon.

Gender can be changed. One can be masculine or feminine according to a given culture -- regardless of what is between a person's legs. A man can be considered effeminate with regard to mannerisms and dress.

A man cannot be female -- even if a physician violates his/her Hippocratic Oath by removing male genitalia, then replacing it with a grotesque facsimile of a vagina. Period.

But look at what the Left does when someone with male genitalia insists upon being called 'she' wants to relieve himself next to your 8-year-old niece and you object. You are declared "____-phobic" which means that if you disagree with their twisted cultural ideology, you are, by definition, mentally ill.

I call bullshit and will not let the subjectivist ['our own mental activity is the only unquestionable fact of our experience'] Left define the terms.

Sex and gender are the SAME,

No, they are not.

Gender is a language term. A language may have a dozen genders but there are only two sexes.

And a language may have 25 words for "Rice", but we are discussing English. As I typed in post 19, look up Gender in an older (American/English) dictionary. There are 3. Or, there were. The progressives have taken control of the language for many, but I don't have to buy into it.

I am talking about gender in language in general.

If you are only going to talk about English, there is basically no gender in English with most of our words being neutral and a small minority being masculine or feminine.

The Romance language are where gender is mostly binary with everything being either masculine or feminine with a tiny bit being neutral.

Now in Basque you would also have masculine, feminine, neutral but also animate and inanimate depending on if you are talking about a human/animal or a rock.

There are other languages who may have more and some who have almost no gender differentials at all.

For the left, "gender" is a psychological/spiritual term before it is a language term; it refers to one's inner feelings AT THE MOMENT, regardless of one's biology. They are trying to make the language (pronouns, etc.) correspond to all of the different ways in which people categorize their feelings.

I am not aware of any language that has more than three genders: masculine, feminine, and neuter. Tenses are another matter.

Agreed! Liberals try to change language every way they can to confuse and wear down their enemies.

Sex is a noun in both senses: sex as in male or female, sex as in having intercourse.

Gender is a linguistic term, not a biological one.

Sex is binary. Gender varies according to language.

The two must not be conflated, which the communists deliberately do.
