I’d recommend 7-1/2 birdshot for inside the house.

BUT not enough penetration. No 4 buckshot for inside the house. Last shot should be slug, next to last 00 buck.

Last 2 rounds are for car doors or body armor.

Would you stand in front of a 1-1/2 long column of lead shot weighing almost an ounce moving at 900 FPS? At 15-20 feet there’s more than enough penetration.

Your mileage may vary, of course.

But in my house if 5 rounds of that doesn’t do the trick the 13 rounds of 230 grain .45 caliber hollow points certainly will.
