The incumbent Ted Cruz has a strong challenger in Beto O'Rourke for the coveted Lone Star State Senate seat in November's General Election.

Ted cruised to victory while Beto roared and showed he's ready for a showdown. Texas Republican U.S.Senate incumbent Ted Cruz will face Democrat challenger Beto O'Rourke after both won their respective party's primary ballot Tuesday night.

The headliner on the Texas ballot was the race for the United States Senate seat held by incumbent Ted Cruz, the junior senator winding down his first term. Cruz had four opponents in the Republican Primary.

Cruz had more than 80 percent of the popular vote while O'Rourke garnered about 60 percent.

Yeah, the media hyped this to no end - Texas going blue, Cruz in danger, etc. What useful Commie fools.

Remember the Alabamity Calamity. We should not have lost that election.

ain't that the truth.

Normally sentient beings like larry elder went totally ersatz, falling for the clintoonesque politics of personal destruction play we've seen so often. Makes me ill.

You can’t expect Cruz to not have fought like neck for the nomination. You usually only get one shot at winning it.

Amen. We need to keep this seat in the R column. Ted had some bad advisors during the presidential campaign, but, he’s a solid conservative in the Senate, and yes, it’s time to forgive and forget. We have a country to save.

Initially, I was a Cruz backer until Trump announced and stated he would defend our border...and been on the Trump Train since that glorious day.

Cruz, OTOH, was a terrible disappointment - from his going to border w/Beck to promote Open Borders to blaming Trump for the Chicago communist riots at a Trump rally to his spoiled childish behaviour at the RNC.

Bottom line, Cruz (and his inner CoC establishment heart) can never be trusted to do what’s right for America.

Republican turn out was far bigger than Democratic turn out, which is the exact opposite of the story the media was pushing. That is the only thing that matters.

We should be.. NO wall... it’s been more than a year and all I got was this prototype. Not to mention the continuing resolutions with chuck n Nancy that prop up the remanents of Obamacare and othevliberal programs.
Take the guns and we will worry about due process later... did I read that right? In America?
A trillion to make America paved again, aka a big union bailout.
I cannot vote for gun grabbers nor thieves.

This is a relief! I’m no Cruz fan but I do not want that state turning blue.

Cruz won 10% of the vote, but let’s not be backstabbers like so many of Cruz’s supporters as at TBR. They are without decency.

Cruz was a jerk during the election, but he straightened up enough afterwards that I’m glad he won.

So if a Democrat wins, and Trump doesn’t get a single judge confirmed for the next two years, can I blame you and the rest of the holier-than-thou crowd??
