Ozzy Ozbourne to Play Show in Israel, Wife Says “We Play Where We Want to Play, That’s It”

World-renowned British rocker, Ozzy Osbourne will be coming to Israel this year to play a show to his Israeli fans. Ozzy Osbourne will be performing in Tel Aviv’s Live Park on July 8 of this year as part of his “No More Tours 2” farewell tour, along with members of Black Sabbath, the iconic band he founded and fronted 49 years ago. Ozzy has earned the informal title of “Godfather of Heavy Metal,” due to his overwhelming influence on the music genre.

In a recent press conference posted to Facebook, Ozzy and his wife, Sharon Osbourne, were asked if they felt any pressure not to play in Israel (in light of international anti-Israel sentiments). Sharon, who is also Ozzy’s manager replied, “listen, I’m half a Heeb. We play where we want to play, that’s it.”

Sharon’s father, Don Arden, is Jewish. The apple(s) did not fall from the tree. During the interview, Sharon Osbourne surprised Ozzy when she said that their children, Kelly and Jack Osbourne, “really want to come to Israel.”

Also during the press conference, Ozzy said, “the last time I played in Israel, it was a great concert”. His last show in Israel was in 2010. “It was unbelievable,” Sharon added.

Thank you, Ozzy and all the performers who have decided to play in Israel despite the BDS movement and international anti-Israel advocated.

I doubt anyone could bully Ozzy into cancelling. The only one who could bully Ozzy about anything is probably Sharon.

Sharon clearly calls this shots in that household. Ozzy is like, “Just tell me where it is, and I’ll show up.”

Division of labor. His job is entertaining the fans. Her job is arranging for them to show up.

Can’t argue with the results, Ozzy would have been dead years ago, if not for Sharon.

I despise Sharon. Having said that, if not for her, he would have been dead long ago....
Good on them for this.

Is Ozzie actually aware of where he is?

ironically..the guy that got killed in a plane crash, Randy Rhoads, is the one who saved Osbourne and made both of them very rich.

Ozzy was banned from Texas for a while for taking a whiz on the Alamo. Wonder what he’ll whiz on in Israel.

Yep, the day I picked up “Diary of a Madman” was a gamechanger for me.
I learned (sloppily) every lick on that album.
