Looking at the Parkland, Fla. high school massacre, the state of America's political and social culture, and all that is happening:
Is this a result of America turning it's back from God, or is it vice versa?
What can be done to bring America back to God?
I don’t think it has anything to do with that. The Scandinavian countries are way more atheist then we are and they don’t have mass shootings. It has to do with an idiot kid who was turned into the FBI who did not do a thing. That is the bottom line. The FBI going back to pre-9/11 has been horrible in stoping these things.

Good point about Scandinavia...and crimes can he more subtle: like eradicating babies with Down Syndrome via abortion in Iceland and Denmark.
I am of the belief the USA is turning back to God, but Satan won’t go down without a fight...

God does not abandon the Righteous. We pushed HIM away, not the other way around.
The US Constitution only works for a moral, educated people. We have not been a moral people since the 60’s hippies seized power in government, schools, media and Hollywood.
THere were 4, 5, or 6 layers of law, oversight, and authority that was charged to keep this from happening. They all failed. It may not be evident in every case, but it is in this one. So, all the screaming at the President, the mocking of a dead student’s parent for wearing a Trump T shirt is idiocy. Three trucks sitting near the school with billboards on them, the faux outrage over having someone mention ‘prayers and hopes’ is lunacy. Plenty of laws and authority are what failed.
God DOES NOT turn His back on ANYONE! It is the US (and Canaduh, and the UK, and Europe, and the former ‘Christendom’) that has, as nations, turned their backs on God!
If WE draw close to Him, He will draw close to us. Evidence of Him is all around us. His Word is available to ALL, at least in the former Christendom, at least if WE are willing to ‘invest’ time with Him. He has revealed Himself to all, is available to all. It is WE who turn our backs on Him!
We ALL kicked GOD out of our country.....we certainly didn’t FIGHT to keep He and HIS SON, JESUS, in our once fine JUDEA CHRISTIAN country!! And now I think GOD has taken away His Hand of Grace from America.....we deserve it....we did nothing to stop the ACLU and the DEMOCRATS from taking over the schools.
I’m not even sure why they are so concerned. I mean millions of children have been slaughtered since the Wade vs. Roe ruling. So why are they so concerned about 17? Since abortion is legal in just about every western society, if not all of them, then I can see no reason why God would stand behind any of them. Could that be the reason they are all sinking like rocks in a body of water? The exception may be Poland.
Pray. Salvation is not a matter of people pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps, it is a matter of God having mercy on us.
We should pray and we should work in our own little ways to further the Kingdom of God. We should be obedient to Him in our lives, we should gratefully accept and work with the tools we are given, and in our own little ways we should live and do the work before us to the standard set by the capability that God has given us.
ummm... respectfully.. hogwash. the Scandinavian countries euthanize their own citizens and wasn’t there a mass shooting in Norway at a summer camp not too long ago?
Turning our back on God is precisely what causes these behaviors, the consistent thumbing our noses at His commandments and removing Him from our schools and everywhere else is exactly what led to this “idiot kid” who by the way was neither a kid (19 and old enough to die for his country) nor an idiot. It’s a pretty cavalier attitude to suggest that the only problem here was that our last line of defense failed to protect 17 students who died last week.
Our snubbing of God began with acceptance of the fictitious “wall” between church and state meme. Continued with removal of Bible and prayer from schools. Culminated with 2004 DNC BOOING the mention of God at their National Convention. That was the green light for Satan and his imps. IMHO.

Our leaders are women and children just like the times before the Asyrrians conquered Israel.
God will not be mocked and His people are safe, the flesh is always fleeting.

Until US Christians realize that God does not just expect us to submit to the devil without a physical as well as spiritual fight our country is done.
Al Government and principalities are placed by God, ours is unique because we do reserve the right to fight back hence the 2nd amendment that God has established.
Separation of Church and State may be the cause of the mayhem in our country. Mass abortions are not helping either. I don’t know about God, but we have decided to remove Him from our society. He may have removed us from His Presence.
Although man thinks God has forgotten or turned His back on them but the Bible portrays God pursuing/embracing righteous people in their sorrows. Gods ways are mysterious to us because He thinks several moves ahead and we are always in the present (especially in our grief).
In the days of the Kingdom of Judah, while there were many God fearing people, there were also many who sought the easy path of offering their children as sacrifices to Moloch, in the hope of easy wealth and prosperity. So much so that there are strong Biblical invocations against not just such people, but even those who tolerated them in their area.
While comparisons can be made with modern America, it should first be noted that at the very least, we are no better nor worse than were the people of those times.

That is a pretty bold and arrogant statement to make Atheism is pretty rampant in the US. Are you saying that we are better than those poor folks?
