The Evening Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)
Hey, remember when bug-eyed California Rep. Adam Schiff accused President Trump of “colluding” with Russian agents? Yeah, it turns out that’s actually what Adam Schiff has been doing – or at least, he hoped he was.
The UK Daily Mail reported earlier today that Schiff, in an effort to dig up dirt on the President, took a call from a man he thought was Andriy Parubiy, the chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament, but who was actually a Russian comedian that is part of a comedy act called Voyan and Lexus, who are famous for their prank calls.
In the call, which took place in early 2017, Schiff can be heard repeatedly asking for correct spellings of names and repetition of other details, indicating he was taking notes. Schiff is also heard promising the man that he would be relaying the information he was providing to the FBI. “‘I’ll be in touch with the FBI about this. And we’ll make arrangements with your staff. I think it probably would be best to provide these materials both to our committee and to the FBI,” Schiff can be heard saying at one point during the 8-minute conversation.
Schiff seemed to be especially interested in the “Chairman’s” claim that he had proof that Vladimir Putin had nude photos of Mr. Trump in compromising positions with a former beauty queen – no doubt his eyes bugged out even more at that proposition. Although Schiff’s staff laughably now claims that the bug-eyed congressman suspected the call was bogus from the start, the Daily Mail points out that Schiff actually had his staff on the House Intelligence Committee perform follow-up actions after the call was finished.
So what we have here is yet another example of a Democrat politician colluding with a foreign agent (or what he hoped was a foreign agent) in order to dig up dirt on Donald Trump. This just adds to a constantly growing list of Democrats that include Hillary Clinton, John Podesta and everyone who ran the Democrat National Committee during the 2016 election campaign who have now been revealed to have been colluding with foreign agents to try to damage Donald Trump.
This little episode is especially revealing when we all remember that Schiff and his fellow Democrats have spent the last 8 months attempting to turn a meaningless 20-minute meeting Donald Trump, Jr. and Paul Manafort took with some Russians (who we now know were actually working for the Democrats) who claimed to have some dirt on Hillary Clinton during the summer of 2016 into a case of outright treason. As always, if the Democrats are accusing Republicans of engaging in some specific behavior, you can be absolutely certain the Democrats are in fact guilty of that behavior themselves.
The Daily Mail story concludes with this hilarious passage:
“The FBI said it could not comment on whether it received or investigated any information about nude Trump photos or other alleged Russian ‘Kompromat’ from Schiff.
‘We do not disclose whether not a complaint has been received,’ an FBI spokesman told DailyMail.com. ‘We neither confirm nor deny the existence of an investigation.'”
Adam Schiff is officially a circus clown.
