Thank you. So many of us hoped for far better/more from Sessions, but our hopes failed to materialize. Now the hope is simply that he can be induced to resign in such a way that Grassley will do an about face and agree to confirm a replacement.

If that’s the case, the President should say so specifically and publiclyTrump has publicly criticized Sessions and the DOJ numerous times.
Grassley has publicly stated that there will be no Sessions replacement in calendar year 2017.

I do believe that Sessions’ first day on the job included a visit from the FBI with Sessions’ file in hand. Nothing else could explain his “sleep-walking” through his job.
