Virginia should create Veteran Licence Plates for Air Force and Navy
Black & Blonde Media ^ | 12/2/17 | Bob Parks

If you honorably served in the Air Force and Navy and live in Virginia (and were not a reservist or any other special designation) there is no license plate available to purchase. The Army and Marines have plates available but not the Air Force and Navy.

Please sign the petition to make these available so we're not limited to "Armed Forces Veteran".

In TN we have an official Woman Veteran plate ...

we weren’t the first WV got theirs just a few months before...

ours went through the state legislature 10 years ago and it costs the same as a regular plate...

a woman vet living in TN just needs to show a copy of her DD214...

plus theres no limit...you can have plates on more than one vehicle...

How did Virginia manage to overlook the Navy with Norfolk and all?

I don’t know about Virginia, but in most states an organization has to ask for the plates. The states don’t just decide to issue special plates. It could be that the Army and Marine groups are more motivated.

Wouldn’t a Muhammad plate be pretty popular in Virginia these days or an ‘I heart Mehico’? Let’s be inclusive.

Here in Georgia (AKA God’s Country) our veteran plates are free with no annual fee. My driver’s license is also free because I served in the Vietnam era.

How many states are charging an egregious extra fee for these plates? They shouldn’t be extra cost if you served.

Sailors are somewhat hated in Virginia. The badly behaved ones ruined it for everyone.
