>> FN Browning Hi-Power. Not FM. <<
The FM Browning Hi-Power can pick up FM radio stations from over five hundred miles. It’s pretty amazing.
Oh man, there was a late 60s M&P revolver I had to sell in .38. I STILL walk around town asking random people if they bought it.
There is nothing like a good revolver, and people ask me why I don’t own something like a Charter or LCR or something. The older steel was just ... something else.
I bought that gun for $100, sold it for $200 and even then I knew I made a mistake. Sold it at the same time as my Russian Makarov in perfect shape. I ask for that gun everywhere I go too.
FM Browning Hi Power”
Produces a very loud melodic sound with no static??...LOL
And it’s the first book gun sellers pick up at a gun show when you’re looking to sell but ignore it when they sell a gun. Example: My dad was looking at this new .22 semi-auto pistol made by Keltec - it was selling for $550. He had a brand new Ruger .380 never fired, in the box with Ruger’s red slide protector still in it. He also had this .22 pistol, military HD with six inch bull barrel made by Hi Standard (looks like a Colt Woodsman) - anyway, the seller offered up that he wanted both guns plus a hundred for it. He didn’t go for it and when he got home went on Sportsman Outdoor and saw the same pistol for $399.99 - Cabela’s offered $450 for the Hi-Standard.
>Walter?<
I guess that’s “Walther”, in ‘Murican.
Had no Idea a Walther was worth so much. I have my Dads P 38 that he got in WWII off a German Officer. Mint in a beautiful leather holster. What makes it go between 800$-3000$ condition or provenance?
What, no Winchester Model 71?
There are different models. That may be a factor. My dad had one acquired the same way. My nephew has it now. Hopefully it will stay in the family down the generations.
I wondered if my Smith and Wesson Model 19 was on the list. I bought it used for $219 about 25 years ago. Last I looked it was running about $600.
No arguing with that!
But (from memory) let me add a couple to the list:
S&W Model 28 (Florida Highway Patrol contract, factory nickel, 5" barrel)
Ruger P89M (Chicago PD or civilian, ~3.9" barrel)
