The media have decided that this is supposed to be Trump’s Katrina moment, so all news coverage is filtered through the lens of whether or not it pushes the narrative.
Some media idiots even made fun of how Trump said Puerto Rico is an island in the ocean. Their ridicule was based on saying “duh” of course everyone knows that, what kind of idiot is Trump.
The context was that Trump was trying to explain that, unlike sending people to Texas and Florida to deal with those disasters, there are greater difficulties with getting to an island in the Caribbean.
But the media idiots instead decided to say, duh, Trump discovered P.R. is an island, what a dummy,etc. They have to get in their half assed political statements in the news of the day.
And tied in with what you are saying, Puerto Rico is still reeling from their financial crisis, and due dates on their debt is coming, regardless of the terrible natural disaster they have experienced.
So in that area too, Trump and the GOP will be to blame, if Puerto Rico defaults on debt. They will cry, how can anyone expect a broke island coping with disaster to pay their bills?
