Maybe in a wet winter spring runoff.
Maybe during a deluge.
There are drops in that canyon you need ropes for, FYI.
Hey man, not so LOL. Google devil and “missing” or “found dead”
Or diablo

clue = use of devil or diablo in a location’s name. It ain’t for nothing.
OK, but the good news in your links was “Jul 28, 2017 - Diablo, the 115-year-old tortoise that was reported missing, has been found.”
This thread brings back good memories. I used to haunt the peninsula on my mountain bike.
IMO the best mountain biking trail I ever rode was Purisma, just south of Half Moon Bay.
Just the downhill part, not the uphill part, which sucks greatly. IIRC you can go almost two miles straight downhill with no pedaling required, just good brakes.
I saw my first and only mountain lion on Sheep Camp Trail, near the water temple. It was awesome, and is seared into my memory.
Got a lot of scrapes, and left a lot of blood on the jumps above Carlmont High School in Belmont.
Living in Houston I very much envy and resent you hill people!
LOL...hope you got through the hurricane unscathed.
The varied hills and landscape are some of the big reasons I stay in CA. I spent seven years in Missouri and always joked the landscape didn’t change for 1,000 miles in any direction. Here I can go from coast to savannah to chaparral to coastal oaks to redwoods all in a five mile hike. We pay a steep price in taxes, traffic, liberals, and complete idiots governing the state.
