You are under a strong delusion !

Remember the voice from heaven, saying,

Come out of her, my people,
that ye be not partakers of her sins,
and that ye receive not of her plagues.
For her sins have reached unto heaven,
and God hath remembered her iniquities.

Now ponder this:

Bible Prophecy shows that the final coalition of ten nations comprising the “Beast” power will be in collusion with a great false church.
That church is called the “mother” church, who has daughters.
“I was wroth with my people,
I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand:
thou didst show them no mercy;
upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.

“And thou saidst,
I shall be a lady for ever:
so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart,
neither didst remember the latter end of it.

“Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures,
that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart,
I am, and none else beside me;
I shall not sit as a widow,
neither shall I know the loss of children:

“But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day,
the loss of children, and widowhood:
they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries,
and for the great abundance of thine enchantments” (Isaiah 47:6-9).
If those who comprise the “daughters” of the lady of kingdoms knew who they were, they would be very concerned, indeed!

There is one great nation which is called the “Fatherland.”
There is one great religious organization which calls itself “the mother church.”
A German protestor, many centuries ago, began a process whereby “daughters” came out of the great mother church;
daughters which adopted practically all of her creeds and doctrines, but which eschewed her granting of indulgences and procedural abuses,
while retaining much of her liturgy, many of her rites, and her refusal to obey God’s Sabbath and holy days, along with her sun worship, idolatry, and pagan holidays such as “Ishtar” (silent “h,” pronounced “Easter” today).

This “Lady of the kingdoms” is characterized as a great whore;
a licentious old “mother of harlots” who has concourse with the heads of state of the world:
“And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me,
Come hither;
I will show unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters [symbol of many nations]:

“With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication,
and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication [her false doctrines and political agendas].

“So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness:
and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast
[scarlet is the color of the College of Cardinals],
full of names of blasphemy [they call themselves “holy”],
having seven heads and ten horns.

“And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls,
having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

“And upon her forehead was a name written,
MYSTERY,
BABYLON THE GREAT,
THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH” (Revelation 17:1-5).

Of this great false church, Halley’s Bible Handbook says,
“This description of Babylon the Great Harlot, seated on the seven-headed ten-horned beast,
while it may have ultimate reference to a situation yet to appear,
exactly fits Papal Rome. 
Nothing else in world history does fit.

“The desire for worldly power began to manifest itself in the church, on a broad scale, in the 4^th century, when the Roman Empire ceased its persecutions and made Christianity the State Religion.
The spirit of Imperial Rome passed into the church.
The church gradually developed itself into the pattern of the empire it had conquered.
… The Vatican is where the palace of the Caesars was.
The popes have claimed all the authority the Caesars claimed, and more.
The Papal Palace, throughout the centuries, has been among the most luxurious in the world.
Popes have lived in pomp and splendor unsurpassed by earthly kings.
… ‘Full of names of blasphemy,’ Popes claim to hold on earth the place of God, to have supreme authority over the human conscience,
to forgive sin, grant indulgences, and that obedience to them is necessary to salvation.
How could anything be more blasphemous?

“ ‘Scarlet’ [is] the color of the Beast and the Harlot, and also of the Dragon [Rev. 12:3], [and] is the color of the Papacy.
The Cardinal’s hats and robes are scarlet.” (Halley’s, pp. 731,732).

One need not wonder about the interpretation of the ten horns,
nor about the location or identity of the great harlot who rides the Beast.

John was told,
“And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet;
but receive power as kings one hour with the beast
[the power of a king is absolute; the power of his economy and his military].
These have one mind [one policy; one agenda; they are in complete agreement],
and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

“These shall make war with the Lamb,
and the Lamb shall overcome them
[this DATES the prophecy insofar as the sequence of events;
it is the FINAL economic/military coalition prior to Christ’s return!]
: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings:
and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

“And he saith unto me,
The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

“And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast,
these shall hate the whore,
and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire [Study the 18^th chapter of Revelation].

“For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will,
and to agree,
and give their kingdom unto the beast,
until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

“And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth” (Revelation 17:12-18).

To which great world capital city do the heads of state go?
To whom do they appeal?
To the Dalai Llama?
To a representative of Islam, or Buddha?
No, they go to the pope in Rome!
It is this city, more than any other which has “reigned over the kings of the earth.”
Over the centuries, Rome has crowned them, or taken away their crowns.

The most revered human religious leader in the world today is the pope.
He issues statements about
the wars of the world;
about the Mideast;
about politics and religion.

So, can you begin to see vaguely through the darkened veil, now ?

The Scripture itself tells you what the "Great City" is -- it's the city "allegorically called 'Sodom' and 'Egypt,' wherein their Lord was crucified".

That ain't Rome, pal. There's only one possible candidate.

The language of Rev 18 echoes that of Jeremiah 25. Compare them! Jeremiah 25 is clearly not talking about Rome.

‘Scarlet’ [is] the color of the Beast and the Harlot, and also of the Dragon [Rev. 12:3], [and] is the color of the Papacy."

The Pope's coat of arms have no scarlet in them; their colors are silver and gold.

The Cardinal’s hats and robes are scarlet.”

The Jewish High Priest wore both scarlet and purple. Look it up.
