Joy Behar: Using Trump as ‘Basis for Your Campaign’ Doesn’t Seem to Be Working for Democrats

A lot of the talk surrounding Jon Ossoff‘s loss last night has been about whether Democrats have a strong enough message that resonates beyond opposition to President Trump. The hosts of The View discussed this very issue this morning.

Joy Behar in particular said that maybe Democrats don’t have that strong message:

“The fact remains that since Donald Trump won the election… the Democrats have lost three elections. So if you’re using Donald Trump as your basis for your campaign, I don’t know if it’s working. I don’t think people are going towards the Democrats… and it’s a problem.”

The media narrative about the Ossoff-Karen Handel race being about––at least in part–-a referendum on Trump led to tweets like this last night:

Behar brought up how Ossoff didn’t even live in the district and said that the Democratic party in general needs “charismatic” candidates and a clearer message.

Jedediah Bila also pointed out the massive amount of out-of-state money Ossoff received in the special election.

I am not impressed. It was not a very big or profound thought. I know I probably expect too much.

She lost part of it when she said it was a problem that people were not moving to the democrats. The thought emerged but because of that next part, fled and didn’t take root.

The MSM made this a “referendum” on President Trump, using him as a surrogate for the Republican candidate. The public perceived it as a referendum on the MSM and Hollywood. Ossoff was their surrogate. So they SHOULD take the loss personally.

“do not seem...still...to understand exactly what went down on November 8th, 2016.”

They play to their audience, in fact they ARE their audience!!; which is pretty scary. My wife always says how amazing it is that there are enough empty headed idiots to fill the studio and think the people on stage are intelligent. Talk about dumbing down the voters.

Then again, we should be glad the left wing socialists have the heroes they have. Maybe one of these days most Americans will hit a pivot point all at once (maybe we saw a slice of it in Georgia last night) and realize what fools they have been for thinking the View, the MSM and the Democrats have their best interests in mind. Maybe they will look in the mirror and be ashamed of themselves.

And President Trump and his team are the right administration to make that happen.

It would have worked this time if Russia had not hacked the Georgia election. They need to keep trying the same strategy.

They just didn't read the words, "We, the People. . . ." in the Preamble to the Constitution which limits power such as that Democrats wish to possess!

That's because they can't read cursive.
